Mounting the Video Doorbell
Finding a Mounting Spot
Take the video doorbell to your front door and check the live view on the App. Choose a location that provides the desired field of view. Consider the following:
- If placing the doorbell near a side wall, ensure the wall does not obstruct the field of view. Otherwise, IR light reflection may cause blurry night vision.
- The recommended mounting height is 1.2 meters (48 inches) from the ground.
Mounting on Hard Surfaces (e.g., Brick, Concrete, Stucco)
- Use the Screw Hole Positioning Card against the wall to mark the hole positions.
- Drill two holes using a 15/64" (6mm) drill bit.
- Insert the provided anchors into the drilled holes.
- Secure the Mounting Bracket onto the wall using the provided long screws.
Required Tools: Power Drill [not provided], 15/64" (6mm) Drill Bit, Mounting Bracket, 15° Mounting Wedge, Mounting Screws and Anchors.
Mounting on a Wooden Surface
- Use the Screw Hole Positioning Card to mark the screw hole positions.
- Secure the Mounting Bracket directly onto the wooden surface using the provided screws.
Required Tools: Screwdriver [not provided], Mounting Bracket, 15° Mounting Wedge, Mounting Screws and Anchors.
Using the 15° Mounting Wedge
The 15° Mounting Wedge can be used as a supplementary mounting bracket to adjust the viewing angle to one side, providing a better view of specific areas.
Visual Description: Diagrams show the Video Doorbell mounted directly to a wall (without wedge) and mounted using the 15° wedge, illustrating the different viewing angles. Tools required for mounting are also depicted.
