Operating Instructions

Introduction

Congratulations on purchasing this ZASS product. Like all ZASS products, this product was designed on the basis of the latest technical knowledge and was manufactured using the most reliable and modern electrical / electronic components. Before putting the appliance into operation, please allow yourself a few minutes to read the following instructions for use. Thank you!

General Information and Safety Precautions

Product Instructions

Before First Use

  1. Remove all packaging materials, stickers, and labels.
  2. Clean the basket and all other accessories with hot water, dishwashing liquid, and a non-abrasive sponge. The glass jar is dishwasher safe.
  3. Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
  4. After cleaning, run the air fryer empty at maximum temperature for 15-20 minutes to clean heating elements and components from manufacturing residue. A slight smell and smoke are normal during this process and will disappear with use.

Operating Instructions

Place the appliance on a horizontal surface, keeping at least 10cm clearance from the back and sides. Keep the appliance away from curtains, wall coverings, and other combustible materials.

After removing the basket, place the mesh tray flat inside the basket.

Note:

Using the Appliance:

  1. When power is connected, a buzzer sounds, indicators flash, and then turn off, leaving only the button indicator lit.
  2. Press the button. All indicator lights and the digital screen will illuminate, entering standby mode.
  3. In standby mode, the button, -, and + buttons are locked; other buttons can be operated.
  4. The appliance will automatically shut down 60 seconds after no operation in standby mode.
  5. In standby mode, touch a function button to select a program, then press the button to enter the working state.
  6. While working or selecting a function, to adjust time and temperature: press the button, the corresponding icon on the screen will flicker. Use the - and + buttons to adjust temperature and time.
  7. During operation, press the button to stop the appliance. The fan will continue to run for one minute to dissipate heat.

Setting Cooking Time and Temperature

1. After selecting a menu, to reset cooking temperature, press the button. Use the - and + buttons to adjust the temperature. Each press changes 5°C. The adjustable range is 40°C-200°C.

2. After selecting a menu, to reset cooking time, press the button. Use the - and + buttons to adjust the cooking time. Each press changes 1 minute. The adjustable range is 1min to 60mins.

Menu Function Selection

The air fryer offers predefined cooking programs. You can also adjust the time and temperature according to your needs.

Note: Larger portions of food may require more time and a higher temperature.

Pause Function

Pulling out the basket during operation will pause the appliance. The keys will be locked except for the button. Re-inserting the basket will resume the previous cooking cycle.

Note: If there is no operation for 10 minutes in pause state, the appliance will automatically turn off.

Tip: Turn food regularly during cooking for even results.

Cooking Finish

  1. When cooking is complete, the appliance will emit three beeps, and the heater will stop. The fan will continue to run for one minute to cool down the internal temperature.
  2. Pull out the basket and place it on a stable, horizontal surface. Use the silicone support (8) as the basket will be very hot.
  3. Transfer the cooked food to a plate or serving dish using a spatula or other utensil.
  4. After cooking, press the button to turn off the appliance and unplug the power cord from the wall socket.

Note: It is recommended to remove the basket after it has cooled completely. Do not turn the basket upside down, as excess grease may drip out.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Clean the appliance and accessories after each use.

  1. Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool for at least 10 minutes before cleaning.
  2. Wipe the appliance surface with a soft, damp cloth.
  3. Do not immerse the power cord, plug, or appliance body in water or other liquids, as this may cause damage, fire, electric shock, or injury.

Storage

Allow the appliance to cool completely before storing. Ensure all parts are clean and dry. Assemble the appliance and store it in a dry, clean, non-corrosive environment, out of reach of children. Storing in the original packaging is recommended.

Error & Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Appliance does not work. The appliance is not plugged in. Ensure the plug is in the socket.
The glass jar is not correctly placed. Place the glass jar correctly in its housing.
Food is not completely cooked. Food pieces are too large/thick. Place smaller and thinner batches of food into the basket.
Cooking time is too short. Adjust the cooking time.
Cooking temperature is too low. Adjust the cooking temperature.
Too much food in the basket. Do not fill the basket more than 4/5 full. Leave space between ingredients for air circulation.
Food is not completely defrosted. Defrost food completely before cooking.
Food is cooked unevenly. Some food needs to be turned over during cooking. During cooking, pull out the basket and turn the food over every 5-8 minutes.
White smoke is coming out of the pot. Residual oil in the pot from last time. Clean the basket before and after each use. Greasy foods can cause oil to ooze and smoke when heated; this is normal. Clean the heating element grid of grease deposits after cooling.
French fries are not cooked crispy. Depends on the water and oil content of ingredients. Ensure potato slices are cut thinly. Preheat the basket for 3 minutes before adding potatoes. Dry the potatoes thoroughly before frying.
Display shows Error Code "E01" There is an open circuit in the NTC sensor. The sensor may be loose or disconnected. Contact ZASS authorized service.
Display shows Error Code "E02" There is a short circuit in the NTC sensor. The NTC sensor may be damaged. Contact ZASS authorized service.
Display shows Error Code "E03" Furnace temperature is too high. Disconnect the power, pull out the basket, wait for it to cool down, and then turn it on again. The error should disappear after cooling.
