Volvo S60, V60, XC60, S80, V70 Wiring Diagram 2013
This document provides the 2013 wiring diagrams for Volvo S60 (2011-), V60, XC60, S80 (2007-), and V70 (2008-) models. It details electrical systems, component designations, fuses, ground connections, and ignition/control systems.
Introduction
This manual contains wiring diagrams for various Volvo models, including the S60, V60, XC60, S80, and V70. It is intended for use by authorized Volvo workshops and technicians.
Safety Precautions
Warning! Extra caution must be exercised when working on vehicles equipped with SRS (Airbag)/SIPS bag/IC (Inflatable curtain) systems to avoid personal injury and system damage. Work involving these systems must be performed by an authorized Volvo workshop. Consult the SRS and SIPS bag/IC service manual for detailed procedures.
General Recommendations:
- Be careful when working on or around SRS, SIPS, and IC components.
- Ensure wires are not pinched, frayed, or pierced.
- Do not fit accessories near sensors.
- When working on the steering wheel, steering shaft, or steering gear, follow the methods in the SRS section of VIDA.
- Ground certain components as required.
- Do not install accessories between the A and B-posts, B and C-posts, and C and D-posts.
Using the Wiring Diagrams
The wiring diagrams are organized into sections covering various systems, including fuses, ground connections, and ignition/control systems. Each component is designated with a type number and a serial number (e.g., 3/2).
Component Designation: Consists of a type number (e.g., 3/xx) and a serial number (e.g., x/2), forming a unique designation (e.g., 3/2).
List of Type Numbers: Provides a reference for component types (e.g., 3/x = switch, 6/x = electric motor).
Branching Points: Numbered points where multiple wires connect (e.g., 73/5035).
Connectors: Bridge two cable harnesses and are described in the "Connectors" section.
Electrical Distribution: Details the operation of fuses and relays.
Data Communication: Explains CAN, LIN, and MOST networks.
Abbreviations: A list of abbreviations used throughout the manual is provided.
Component Location: A section at the end of the manual describes the appearance and location of components.
Fuses
The document details fuse layouts and functions for the engine compartment distribution boxes for S80, V70, XC70, S60, and V60 models. Tables list fuse numbers, their corresponding circuits, and the components they protect.
Ground Connections
Diagrams illustrate the locations of ground connections for S80/V70, S60/V60, and XC60 models, with corresponding tables listing the component designations and associated systems.
Ignition and Control Systems
Detailed wiring diagrams are provided for various engine management systems, including:
- 4-Cyl. Turbo 1.6L (S80/V70)
- 4-Cyl. Turbo 2.0L (S80/V70)
- 4-Cyl. 1.6L Diesel (S80/V70)
- 4-Cyl. 1.6L Turbo (S60/V60)
- 4-Cyl. 2.0L Turbo (S60/V60)
- 4-Cyl. 1.6L Diesel (S60/V60)
- 4-Cyl. Turbo 2.0L (XC60)
These diagrams show the complex interconnections of engine control modules, sensors, actuators, and other related components.
Connectors
Tables list connector details, including pin assignments and the corresponding engine harness and engine compartment harness connections for various Volvo models and engine types.
Branching Points
Information on branching points, which are connection points within wiring harnesses, is provided.
List of Components
A comprehensive list of components is included, detailing their part numbers and a brief description of their function.
