Hunter Fan Company Control, Limited Warranty

The Hunter Fan Company warrants the Control to the original purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of sale. If the Control malfunctions or fails within the warranty period due to a defect in material or workmanship, Hunter Fan Company will replace it free of charge. This warranty is void if the original purchaser ceases to own the Control. This warranty is in lieu of all other express warranties. Any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is expressly limited to the one-year period of this express warranty. This warranty excludes malfunctions or failures caused by unauthorized repairs, mishandling, improper installation, modifications, damage while in possession, or unreasonable use. It does not apply to batteries or damage caused by faulty batteries. To obtain a replacement, return the Control postage prepaid with proof of purchase to Hunter Fan Company Service Department at 7130 Goodlett Farms Pkwy., Memphis, TN 38016. Hunter Fan Company shall not be liable for consequential or incidental damages. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Installation Instructions

1. Turning off the power

Before installation, use the pull-chains to set the fan speed to HIGH and the light to ON. Ensure the power is OFF at the outlet box and wall switch location before proceeding.

2. Removing the canopy

Remove the fan's canopy. If unsure how, refer to the fan's owner's manual. Note existing wire connections or take a photo. Remove wire connectors connecting the outlet box wires to the fan, leaving grounding wires connected.

3. Installing the receiver

Choose the hanging system that most closely resembles your fan's and install the receiver and wire as directed. Installation issues may occur on angled ceilings. For assistance, call 1-888-830-1326.

4. Wiring the receiver to the fan

Using the orange wire connectors:

Note: If uncertain about wire colors or connections, contact a qualified electrician.

Safety Warning: To avoid possible electrical shock, disconnect power at the circuit breakers before installing or servicing the fan. Use a warning device if circuit breakers cannot be turned off.

5. Wiring the receiver and fan to the ceiling

Using the orange wire connectors:

After all wires are connected and secured, reinstall the canopy. Push wires carefully back into the ceiling electrical box, separating grounded and ungrounded wires.

6. Installing the battery

Slide the battery door up to access the battery compartment. Replace used batteries with two AAA batteries when needed.

7. Wiring the Wall Control

  1. Connect the grounding wire from the wall control to the ground wire from the switch box using provided wire nuts.
  2. Connect the "LIVE IN" wire from the switch box to the "~VAC" wire from the wall control using provided wire nuts.
  3. Connect the "LIVE OUT" wire from the switch box to the "FAN" wire from the wall control using provided wire nuts.
  4. Push all wires into the switch box.

8. Installing the Wall Control

Install the longer screws through the slots in the wall control into the switch box screw holes.

9. Installing the Wall Plate

Install the shorter screws through the wall control plate and into the screw holes in the wall control.

10. Turning on the power

IMPORTANT: Use the pull-chain switch on the fan to set the fan speed to the HIGH position before operation.
