Serial Port Use Display Interface

Instructions

  5. Clean solder wire residue from the sensor terminal using a desoldering tool or wick.
  6. Press and hold the 'POWER' button to turn off the thermometer when not in use.

Precautions

  • Handle the thin metal wire sensor (0.2mm) with care to avoid bending or breaking.

Function Introduction

  1. Switch function: Short press 'POWER' to turn on; long press 'POWER' to turn off. The device displays room temperature upon startup.
  2. Low battery display: A [low battery indicator] in the upper left corner signals the need for battery replacement to maintain accurate measurements.
  3. Highest temperature hold: Short press 'MAX HOLD' to enter the maximum temperature hold interface; short press again to exit.
  4. Automatic shutdown: Long press 'MAX HOLD' to enter settings. Use 'POWER' to shorten the auto-off time and 'SEND' to extend it. Long press 'MAX HOLD' again to exit. The device automatically shuts down after a set period (default 15 minutes, adjustable from 1-240 minutes) when idle.
  5. Temperature unit switch: Long press 'MAX HOLD' to enter settings, then press 'MAX HOLD' again to select options 1-4. Press 'SEND' to switch between °C and °F. Long press 'MAX HOLD' to exit.
  6. Sensor wire usage count: The upper right display area shows the number of times the sensor wire has been used (up to 999). Long press 'RESET' and another key to reset the count to zero. A flashing prompt appears after 50 uses, indicating the sensor wire may need replacement.

Infrared Temperature Calibration

  1. Ensure the device to be calibrated has its infrared function turned on. This feature is supported by specific models.
  2. Align the thermometer's infrared emitter with the infrared receiving port of the device being calibrated, maintaining a distance of 10cm to 30cm.
  3. Clean the soldering iron tip and place it on the temperature-sensing point with sufficient solder wire for good contact.
  4. Once the thermometer's displayed temperature stabilizes, briefly press the 'SEND' button. The screen will display the 'IR' character.
  5. If the temperature displayed on the calibrated device matches the thermometer's reading, calibration is complete.
