Installation Instructions
Please read all of the instructions before you begin your installation.
- Locate the vehicle's body control module (BCM) under the steering wheel column above the break pedal. See Figure 1 for plug locations.
- Remove factory plug 4 (black) from the BCM and plug in the black Z-Flash plug into that socket. Then plug factory plug 4 that you removed into the Z-Flash adapter.
- Remove factory plug 5 (brown) from the BCM and plug in the brown Z-Flash plug into that socket. Then plug factory plug 5 that you removed into the Z-Flash adapter.
- Remove factory plug 6 (pink) from the BCM and plug in the pink Z-Flash plug into that socket. Then plug factory plug 6 that you removed into the Z-Flash adapter.
- Locate the black three-wire plug on the Z-Flash module (see Figure 2). Connect the black wire to ground and connect the red wire to a +12V fused switch or a factory switch if equipped in your vehicle.
- If you would like to be able to change patterns after the module is installed, connect the blue wire to one side of a momentary switch. Connect the other side of the momentary switch to a fused +12V circuit. If you would only like to use one flash pattern, you may touch the blue wire to +12V momentarily to change the pattern until you find the one you would like to use.
- Plug the seven plugs from the three adapters and the black three-wire plug into the Z-Flash module.
Mode Switch
Insert a paper clip or something similar in size into the hole shown in Figure 3 to switch modes. When the mode switch is in position A, the vehicle's factory functions will override the Z-Flash's warning functions. When the mode switch is in position B, the vehicle's factory functions will NOT override the Z-Flash's warning functions.
Note: It is not advised to run the Z-Flash in position B when on public roads.
