The Empulse M90 electric assist system reduces the effort required to propel a manual wheelchair, helping you conserve energy for what truly matters. It integrates an innovative dual control system, offering two intuitive driving modes in a single device. You can choose to drive with or without electric assistance, using either a detachable multi-directional joystick or by manually propelling with the push rims using the Speed Controller, which allows you to move using your wheelchair's push rims with added electric assistance.

Compact and Easy to Transport

With a compact design, the complete unit weighs just 12.2 kg (all inclusive). Each wheel, with its integrated battery, weighs 5.9 kg, making transport comfortable and efficient. This adds minimal weight to the wheelchair, preserving its maneuverability and ease of use in daily activities.

Dual Control System: Switch Modes Instantly

Thanks to the intelligent dual control system, you can effortlessly switch between the two available driving modes. By pressing the Mode/Profile button on the controller, you can choose to operate the chair using the multi-directional joystick or the Speed Controller with push rim propulsion, adapting to your energy levels, environment, and preferences without needing to change hardware.

The wireless control unit can be easily attached and detached wherever it is most convenient for you.

Joystick Multidirectional

• Start/Stop: Push the joystick forward to start. Release to stop. Push rims do not affect speed.
• Speed Control: Push the joystick forward or backward to accelerate or decelerate proportionally.
• Direction: Slide the joystick in the desired direction to move.
• Cruise Control: Press the joystick down at the desired speed to activate.
• Steering: Steer the chair by moving the joystick left or right.
• Exit: To exit, push the joystick forward/backward or press it again.

Speed Controller with Push Rim Propulsion

• Start/Stop: Touch the speed controller to start. Slide the bidirectional joystick down or use the push rims to gradually stop.
• Speed Control: Touch the speed controller to increase or decrease speed in levels, up to level 5 in both profiles.
• Direction: Steer manually using the push rims.
• Cruise Control: Touch the speed controller to adjust the speed level. Stop by pressing down until the speed reduces to zero, or by gripping the push rims.

Manual Assistance

A smooth impulse that activates after stopping via the push rims, facilitating position readjustment.

Driving Profile (Indoor/Outdoor)

Selectable via the Empulse M90 App or the control unit.

Speed Configuration

Choose the speed range (Basic / Standard / Max) from the Empulse M90 App.

• Lights Sensor: Detects ambient light.
• LED Indicator (Mode/Profile): Shows the selected mode or profile.
• Mode/Profile Button: Allows control of both Driving Mode and Driving Profiles to optimize Empulse M90 performance based on user preferences.
• Joystick: The primary input for the multi-directional mode.
• Coupling: Connects the control unit to the wheelchair.

With the Mode/Profile button, you can control both the Driving Mode and Driving Profiles to optimize the Empulse M90's performance according to your preferences. The Mode/Profile LED indicator shows the selected mode or profile.

Press and hold to change how you control your wheelchair (Driving Mode):

• Joystick Multidirectional Mode (White LED): For intuitive, joystick-based control.
• Speed Controller Mode with Push Rim Propulsion (Blue LED): For assisted manual propulsion using the push rims.

Tap to switch between Indoor and Outdoor Driving Profiles:

• Indoor (Solid LED): For tighter turns and smooth indoor driving.
• Outdoor (Flashing LED): For agile performance on varied terrains.
