Transporting Children Safely with Riese & Müller Cargo Bikes

Pre-ride check-list

✔️ I will also find out about the regulations governing child transport in my country.
✔️ I will carefully check the load and riding behaviour of my bike before every ride.
✔️ I will always lift the children into the child seat or onto the seat. The bike can topple over if they climb onto it independently.
✔️ When carrying two children – with or without a child seat – the heavier child will always sit directly behind the saddle.

⚠️ Warning

The seat cushion and backrest always need to be correctly fitted when using the Safety bar without an additional child seat.
When transporting children without a child seat, they should have a good understanding of the risks of riding as a passenger and should not make any jerky movements.
Installing two child seats could restrict access to the bike lock and pedal area.

ℹ️ Information

All details relating to the Multicharger refer equally to the Multicharger Mixte with lowered top tube.
HS stands for High Speed. These e-bikes offer greater motor assistance and, depending on national regulations, require a driving licence, car insurance and the wearing of a helmet.
