2. Basics
Front View Components:
- Lens: The primary optical component for capturing images.
- Microphone: Captures audio.
- LED Indicator: Displays the device's status.
LED Indicator Status:

Back View Components:
- Micro SD Card Slot: For inserting a Micro SD card (sold separately).
- Reset Button: Hold for 5 seconds to restart and set all parameters to default.
- Speaker: Outputs audio.
- Network Interface: For wired network connection (if applicable).
- Power Interface: For connecting the power cable.
To access the Micro SD Card Slot and Reset Button, slide up the sphere and open the cover.
Setup
1. Power-on
Plug the power cable into the camera, and then plug the power adapter into a power outlet.

2. Connect to the Internet
1. Get the EZVIZ App
Connect your mobile phone to Wi-Fi. Download and install the EZVIZ app by searching "EZVIZ" in the App Store or Google Play™. Launch the app and register an EZVIZ user account.

ℹ️ If you have already used the app, ensure it is the latest version. Check for updates in your app store.
2. Add camera to EZVIZ
Hold the reset button for 5 seconds. When the LED indicator flashes blue quickly, the camera is ready for Wi-Fi configuration.

Log in to your EZVIZ user account. On the Home screen, tap the "+" icon in the upper-right corner to go to the Scan QR Code interface. Scan the QR code on the Quick Start Guide cover or on the body of the camera.

Follow the EZVIZ app wizard to finish Wi-Fi configuration.
ℹ️ To change your camera's Wi-Fi settings, press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds and repeat the steps above.
Installation
1. Use Micro SD Card (Optional)
1. Insert Micro SD Card
Rotate the sphere upwards until you see the card slot. Insert the Micro SD card (sold separately) into the card slot.

2. Install the Base
The camera can be placed horizontally or mounted on the ceiling. Ceiling mounting is used as an example here.
ℹ️ Important Notes:
- Install the device indoors as it is not waterproof.
- Ensure the mounting surface (e.g., ceiling) is strong enough to withstand at least three times the weight of the camera.
- Avoid positioning the camera where direct light shines into the lens.
- Recommended mounting height: 3 meters above the ground.
Ceiling Mounting Steps:
- Place the drill template onto the chosen mounting surface.
- (For cement walls/ceilings) Drill screw holes according to the template and insert three anchors.
- Use three metal screws to fix the camera base to the mounting surface.

3. Install the Camera
Mount the camera to the installed base and turn it clockwise until it is fixed securely.

View Your Device
1. Live View
When you launch the EZVIZ app, the device page displays the live feed. You can view and listen, take snapshots, record videos, and choose video definition.

2. Settings
On the settings page, you can configure various parameters for the device.
Parameter | Description |

Audio | Audio functions. When disabled, neither live view nor recorded videos will have audio. |
Status Light | Indicates device status via light. When disabled, lights are off.

IR Light | IR light enables black and white images in low light. When disabled, image quality in dark environments is reduced. |

Daylight Saving Time | Select daylight saving time settings. |
Date Format | Select your preferred date format. |
Wi-Fi | View connected Wi-Fi and connect to another network. |
Cloud Storage | Subscribe to cloud storage services. |
Storage Status | View the status of your cloud and memory card storage. |
Device Version | View the device's firmware version. |
Image Encryption | If enabled, captured images require a password for access. |
Change Encryption Password | Change your encryption password. The default is the device verification code. |
Flip image | Tap to flip images horizontally or vertically. |
Advanced Image Settings |

User Guide | Access the device's user guide. |
About | View installation location, product category, model, serial number, and device QR code. |
Restart | Tap to restart your device. |
Delete Device | Tap to remove the device from your EZVIZ account. |
ℹ️ For privacy protection, remove the SD card or other storage media before transferring the device to others.
EZVIZ Connect
1. Use Amazon Alexa
These instructions enable control of EZVIZ devices with Amazon Alexa. Refer to Troubleshooting for difficulties.
Before you start, ensure:
- EZVIZ devices are connected to the EZVIZ app.
- "Image Encryption" is turned off in the EZVIZ app's Device Settings.
- You have an Alexa-enabled device (e.g., Echo Spot, Echo Show, Fire TV).
- The Amazon Alexa app is installed and an account is created.
To Control EZVIZ devices with Amazon Alexa:
- Open the Alexa app and select "Skills and Games".
- Search for "EZVIZ" and select the EZVIZ skill.
- Tap "ENABLE TO USE".
- Enter your EZVIZ username and password, then tap "Sign in".
- Tap "Authorize" to allow Alexa to access your EZVIZ account.
- Tap "DISCOVER DEVICES" to let Alexa find your EZVIZ devices.
- In the Alexa app menu, select "Devices" to see your linked EZVIZ devices.
Voice Command:
Discover new devices via the "Smart Home" menu or Alexa Voice Control. Once found, control the device with voice commands (e.g., "Alexa, show [your device name] camera").
ℹ️ Device names can be modified in the EZVIZ app. Changes require re-discovering the device in Alexa.
Troubleshooting:
- Alexa fails to discover device: Check internet connection. Reboot the smart device and re-discover.
- Device status shows "Offline" on Alexa: Your wireless connection may be lost. Reboot the smart device and re-discover. Check your router's internet access.

2. Use Google Assistant
Activate your EZVIZ device and watch live feeds using Google Assistant voice commands.
Required Devices and Apps:
- A functional EZVIZ app.
- In EZVIZ app settings, turn off "Image Encryption" and turn on "Audio".
- A TV with Chromecast.
- The Google Assistant app on your phone.
To get started:
- Set up the EZVIZ device and ensure it works in the app.
- Download the Google Home app and log into your Google account.
- In the Google Home app, tap "+" and select "Set up device".
- Tap "Works with Google" and search for "EZVIZ".
- Enter your EZVIZ username and password, then tap "Sign in".
- Tap "Authorize" to allow Google to control your EZVIZ devices.
- Tap "Return to app".
- Follow steps to complete authorization. The EZVIZ service will appear in your list of services. Tap its icon to see compatible devices.
- Try voice commands using the camera's name.
Devices can be managed individually or in groups. Adding devices to rooms allows simultaneous control with one command.

FAQ
- Q: What kind of network connection does the camera support?
- A: The camera supports both wireless and wired connections, selectable based on network situation.
- Q: If the camera is offline, will the video recording be continued?
- A: If the camera is powered on but disconnected from the internet, Micro SD card recording continues, but cloud recording stops. If the camera is powered off, both stop.
- Q: Why is the alarm triggered when nobody is in the image?
- A: Try lowering the alarm sensitivity. Note that vehicles and animals can also trigger the alarm.
- Q: What if I forget my password?
- A: Go to the EZVIZ app login page, tap "Forgot password?", enter your account's email or phone number, send, input the verification code, and reset your password.
- Q: Why can't I receive my verification code?
- A:
- If registered via email, check your junk mail. If still not received, check with your email provider regarding email filters/blocks.
- If registered via mobile number, confirm your phone can receive SMS short codes.
- If still not received, contact support@ezvizlife.com with your number, country, and request time, or contact your regional support team.
- Q: How to solve Wi-Fi configuration failed?
- A: Check the following settings:
- Ensure your mobile phone is connected to a working Wi-Fi network.
- Check network conditions: Ensure no firewall or limits. Ensure the router can distribute IP addresses (DHCP is default).
- Reset your camera. Ensure it's in ready or Wi-Fi configuration mode, then use the EZVIZ app for configuration.
