Air to Water Heat Pump System
The ATW heat pump system is a groundbreaking, low-energy system for cooling, heating, and domestic hot water production. It delivers outstanding performance, even at extreme outdoor temperatures, providing absolute comfort with efficient and eco-friendly operation. This system transforms energy from the air into useful heat, offering a more energy-efficient and eco-friendly alternative to traditional electrical heaters and fossil fuel heaters.
The system works by using a small amount of electrical energy to extract renewable heat from the outside air, then supplying a large amount of heat to the home. For every one piece of electricity input, it can provide five times the heat output, demonstrating its high efficiency.
How do Air to Water Heat Pumps Work?
The diagram illustrates the system's components: an Outdoor Unit, Indoor Unit, Domestic Hot Water Tank, Radiator, Floor Heating, and Fan Coil. The process involves the Outdoor Unit extracting heat from the air, which is then transferred through the system to provide heating and hot water.
Regulations and Certifications
Hisense Air to Water Heat Pumps comply with the F-Gas Regulation (517/2014), which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by phasing down HFC refrigerants. The regulation targets a reduction in HFC consumption by 79% by 2030, measured in CO2 equivalents. The document shows a comparison of HFC consumption relative to CO2 equivalent tonnes, indicating a significant reduction trend.
The Heat Pump KEYMARK is a voluntary, independent European certification mark for heat pumps, combination heat pumps, and hot water heaters. It signifies compliance with product requirements and efficiency standards set by Ecodesign. Certificates are granted by independent Certification Bodies to products that meet all scheme requirements. More information can be found at www.heatpumpkeymark.com.
Product Lineup Overview
Hisense offers two main series of Air to Water Heat Pumps: Hi-Therma and Hi-Aquasmart. Both series are available in Split and Monobloc types, utilizing R32 or R410A refrigerants respectively. They offer high energy efficiency ratings, with A+++ for heating at 35°C and A++ for heating at 55°C.
Hi-Therma Series
The Hi-Therma series features R32 refrigerant, known for its eco-friendliness with a lower Global Warming Potential (GWP). Key features include:
- High Efficiency and Excellent Performance: R32 Eco-friendly refrigerant, A+++ energy efficiency, interlock with 3rd party heat sources (solar thermal, boiler), stable operation at -25°C, and 60°C leaving water temperature.
- User Convenience: Two separate temperature cycles for different heating needs (floor heating and radiators), up to 7 rooms with independent temperature control, low noise operation, night shift mode, centralized and individual room control, and 75°C domestic hot water capability for sterilization.
- High Intelligence: Smart App control for remote operation, intuitive controller interfaces, and smart hint indicators.
- Easy Installation and Maintenance: Features like a screed drying function, swimming pool heating capability, long piping design, no refrigerant piping required on-site, and water pressure/flow monitoring.
Hi-Aquasmart Series
The Hi-Aquasmart series utilizes R410A refrigerant and offers a 3-in-1 solution for hot water supply, space heating, and cooling. Key features include:
- Enhanced Vapor Injection: Uses a vapor injection scroll compressor for higher compression ratios, smoother oil supply, and lower noise levels.
- Less CO2 Emissions: Significantly reduces CO2 emissions compared to electric, oil, and gas heating systems due to its efficient use of air energy. It offers up to 66% less CO2 emissions than electric heating.
- High Efficient Water Pump (DC): Equipped with a high-efficiency DC inverter water pump for minimized energy consumption and wider adaptability.
- Various Operation Modes: Includes modes like 7-day timer, DHW priority, holiday setting, and OTC control.
- Economical: Offers lower annual running costs compared to direct electric heating, fuel boilers, and gas condensing boilers.
- Strong Heating Capacity Under Low Ambient: Maintains strong heating capacity even at low ambient temperatures, with models maintaining nominal capacity at -15°C or -10°C without electrical booster heaters.
