Getting Started
This guide provides essential steps for setting up and using your KitchenAid espresso machine. It covers initial preparation, brewing, and maintenance.
Before First Use
Ensure all removable parts, including the Water Tank and Milk Container, are washed before the first use. Power on the machine using the Main Power Switch located on the side panel.
Brewing Your Coffee
Follow on-screen instructions for initial setup. Prime the machine by brewing and purging four shots of espresso. For milk-based drinks, add milk to the Milk Container, connect the milk hose to the dispenser port, and then to the container or your own reservoir. Select your desired drink and enjoy.
Note: The KF6 model does not include a Milk Container; use your own reservoir with the provided milk hose adapter.
Customization and Bean Hopper Functions
Customize your drink's strength, temperature, body, and volume through the machine's settings. The KF8 model offers options for plant-based or dairy milk cycles. Learn how to use the purge function for the bean hopper and how to remove it for cleaning.
Care and Cleaning
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance. The machine will prompt for cleaning cycles. Key maintenance includes easy milk rinsing after each use, deep milk cleaning periodically, descaling when prompted, cleaning the removable brew unit monthly, and replacing the water filter approximately every 50 liters of water usage.
