General Instructions
- Ensure the tow bar has not been damaged during transport and is the correct reference for the vehicle.
- Read the fitting instructions carefully and follow all steps precisely.
- Present the tow bar under the vehicle before starting the installation.
- When drilling holes, check for and avoid damaging any electrical wires. Remove any soundproofing or bitumen layers. Treat drilled holes and body parts with an anti-corrosive product.
- If the vehicle is equipped with non-standard bumpers (e.g., special series, sport kits, tuning parts), consult GDW technical service to ensure compatibility.
- The tow bar is delivered assembled for storage purposes; disassemble parts before proceeding with installation.
Guarantee
- To determine the correct towing weight capacity of your vehicle, refer to the Certificate of Conformity (COC) or contact your dealer.
- Do not exceed the specifications of the tow bar. Refer to page 5 for relevant formulas.
- The tow bar must be checked after the first 1,000 km of use and at least once per year thereafter.
- Check and retighten all bolts as necessary.
- Repair any damage to the paint finish.
- Replace any components that have been damaged due to an accident or collision.
- Grease the internal parts of detachable tow bar systems.
Usage
- If the tow ball obstructs the license plate or the fog light, it is mandatory to remove the ball when the tow bar is not in use.

Mounting Instructions
Step 1
Locate the primary mounting points on the vehicle's rear chassis. Attach the main tow bar assembly (part 1) using bolts and washers. Use tool 13 (socket wrench) for tightening.

Remove any protective covers or fasteners from the vehicle's rear bumper area. Use tool TX25 (screwdriver) to remove screws securing these parts.

Position the main tow bar assembly (part 1) against the chassis. Insert bolts and washers through the prepared holes and into the tow bar mounting brackets. Hand-tighten initially.

Install the main crossbar (part 1) onto the chassis mounting points. Secure with bolts.

Perform a final check of all connections. Ensure all bolts are tightened to the specified torque values. The tow ball system can be attached or detached as needed. A symbol indicates the ball must be removed when not in use.

The installation must comply with Regulation No. 55, Appendix VII, Illustration 25 (a,b) regarding clearance zones. These clearance zones must be guaranteed.
