- If drilling is required, ensure no wires or brake lines are damaged. Remove any soundproofing or bitumen material from drilled areas.
- Treat drilled holes and bodywork with an anti-corrosive product.
- If the vehicle has non-standard bumpers (special series, sport versions, tuning parts), consult GDW technical service to confirm compatibility.
- The towbar is supplied assembled for storage; disassemble parts before fitting.
Guarantee and Use
- To determine the maximum towing weight for your vehicle, refer to the Certificate of Conformity (COC) or contact your dealer. Do not exceed the tow bar's specifications.
- Check the tow bar after the first 1,000 km of use and at least annually thereafter.
- Check all bolts and retighten if necessary.
- Repair any paint damage.
- Replace any components damaged in an accident or collision.
- Grease the internal parts of detachable tow bar systems.
