⚠️ WARNING! During repair/maintenance work, the appliance must NOT be connected to the mains power!
Changing the door seal
- Remove the contents of the appliance and, if necessary, defrost the appliance. Pay attention to how the old seal is fixed. Most gaskets are only plugged in or fixed by small screws.
- Remove the worn gasket rubber by either removing it from the plug-in device or loosening the screws. Carefully clean the appliance door and the groove below the rubber and remove any adhesive residue.
- Depending on how the old sealing rubber was attached, attach the new rubber. If necessary, heat the sealing rubber with a hair dryer or hot water and shape it by hand. Start pressing the gasket in one corner and then press it all around the door into the provided groove.
- According to the type of appliance, refasten the screws or plug-in positions on the appliance.
- Continue to check the door seal regularly for dirt and damage!
