Measure Distance

  1. Press Navigation Buttons ⬆️⬇️ until the display shows the measurement screen.
  2. Aim at the target with a clear line of sight, then press-and-hold the Fire Button ?.
  3. The Laser Indicator ? will be displayed until the measurement is acquired or the Fire Button ? is released.
  4. Press Navigation Buttons ⬆️⬇️ to scroll through the other calculated measurement values.

Measure Distance Continued

  1. Press Fire Button ? to clear measurements and repeat steps 1 through 4.

Helpful Tip

The Vertical Distance ↕️ solution can measure height or clearance. In the diagrams (Fig. 1 & 2), add the height of the laser at eye level from the ground to the measurement.

Fig. 1 Diagram Description: Shows a person aiming at a tree. Lines indicate SD (Slope Distance), INC (Inclination), HD (Horizontal Distance), and VD (Vertical Distance).

Fig. 2 Diagram Description: Shows a person aiming at a pole. Lines indicate SD (Slope Distance), AZ (Azimuth), INC (Inclination), and HD (Horizontal Distance).

Measure Height (3-pt Routine)

This routine is ideal for flat, vertical objects that do not lean. For shooting through brush, use filter mode, foliage filter, and a reflector.

  1. Press Navigation Buttons ⬆️⬇️ until the display shows the initial measurement screen.
  2. Aim at the target with a clear line of sight and press-and-hold the Fire Button ?.
  3. The Laser Indicator ? will be displayed. The horizontal distance is acquired and displayed.
  4. When the display shows the next prompt, aim at the bottom of the target, press-and-hold the Fire Button ?. Inclination Angle_1 is measured and displayed.
  5. When the display shows the next prompt, aim at the top of the target, press-and-hold the Fire Button ?. Inclination Angle_2 is measured and displayed.

Measure Height (3-pt Routine) Continued

  1. Height measurement is calculated. The display flashes then shows a solid value with the calculated height.

Helpful Tip

Diagram Description: Shows measurements for height calculation using three shots, including HT (Height), HD (Horizontal Distance), and INC (Inclination).

Measure Height in 2-Shots

This measurement routine is ideal for leaning objects and requires a clear line of sight for both shots.

  1. Press Navigation Buttons ⬆️⬇️ until the display shows the initial measurement screen.
  2. Aim at the bottom of the target with a clear line of sight and press-and-hold the Fire Button ?.
  3. The Laser Indicator ? will be displayed. When the measurement is acquired, the Vertical Distance (VDb) measurement will be displayed. Note this value.
  4. Aim at the top of the target with a clear line of sight and press-and-hold the Fire Button ?.

Measure Height in 2-Shots Continued

  1. The Laser Indicator ? will be displayed. When the measurement is acquired, the Vertical Distance top (VDt) value will be displayed. Note this value.
  2. Subtract the two values to calculate the height: VDt - VDb = Height.

NOTE: When subtracting values, pay attention to the sign of the VD.

Diagram Description: Shows measurements for height calculation using two shots, including VDI, SD, INC, HD, VDb, and INC.

Measure 2D Vertical Missing Line
