Installation and Connections
How to Install
Speaker sound is influenced by listening room conditions. Consider your installation location for optimum listening.
- Place speakers at ear level.
- For natural stereo effect, position left and right speakers symmetrically and equidistant from the listening position.
- Ideally, place speakers at a 30° angle to the left and right (total 60°) from the listening position, facing inward.
- Apply supplied cushions to the bottom of speakers to prevent sliding.
WARNING: Keep small parts away from children. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
VENTILATION CAUTION: Leave at least 15 cm space around the unit (top, rear, sides) for heat radiation.
WARNING: Do not block ventilation openings to prevent overheating and fire hazards. Avoid covering with items like newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, or operating on thick carpet/bed.
Connections
- Disconnect the power cord before making or changing connections.
- Read manuals for connected devices.
- Connect the power cord after all other connections are complete.
- Use the supplied power cord.
- Input signals to RCA, STEREO MINI, and TRS terminals are mixed; be mindful of volume levels.
Connecting Cords
Connect the supplied speaker cord to the speakers:
- Strip about 1 cm of the speaker cord head, twist and remove the exposed insulator. Twist the core wires thoroughly.
- Connect the speaker cord to the LEFT and RIGHT speaker terminals.
- Insert core wires into terminals while pressing the claw. Connect the cord with the red line to the '+' terminal (red) and the cord without the red line to the '-' terminal (black).
CAUTION: Lightly pull speaker cords to ensure secure connection. Loose connections can cause audio interruption or noise. Twist core wires thoroughly and ensure no wires protrude from terminals to prevent contact with the rear panel or other components, which could cause amplifier overload or malfunction. Incorrect polarity (+/-) on left/right speakers will prevent normal stereo effect.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, consult the FAQ at pioneerdj.com/support/. Inspect connected devices. Try turning the speakers off and on. If problems persist, read "Precautions for Use" and contact an authorized service company or dealer.
