Before You Start

How to Read This Manual

Thank you for choosing this Pioneer DJ product. Please read this manual, the "Quick Start Guide", and the "Precautions for Use" for important information before operating the speakers.

What's in the Box

* Only products in Europe. Products in North America and Japan include warranty information in the "Precautions for Use".

Part Names

Front Panel

1. 3/4 inch soft dome tweeters: High-frequency drivers.

2. POWER indicator: Lights up when power is on; off in Standby mode.

3. Diffusers: Improve sound directivity of high frequencies for spacious sound.

4. LEVEL knob: Adjusts the volume.

5. 5 inch glass fiber woofers: Low-frequency drivers.

6. Bass reflex ducts: Enhance low-frequency output.

7. Grooves: Aid airflow for smooth low-frequency radiation.

8. Headphone terminal: 3.5 mm stereo mini jack output. Connecting headphones mutes speaker output.

Rear Panel

1. RCA INPUT terminals: Unbalanced RCA pin type input.

2. STEREO MINI INPUT terminal: Unbalanced 3.5 mm stereo mini jack input.

3. TRS INPUT terminals: Balanced 1/4-inch phone type input.

4. Speaker connection connectors: Connect left and right speakers with the supplied cord. Do not connect to other amplifiers to avoid damage or fire.

5. POWER switch: Turns the speakers on and off.

6. AC IN: Connect the supplied power cord to a power outlet. Connect after all other connections are complete.

7. SOUND MODE switch: Switches between DJ mode (punchy sound) and PRODUCTION mode (flat frequency response).

CAUTION: The POWER switch does not completely disconnect AC power. The power cord is the main disconnect device; unplug it from the AC outlet to shut down all power. Unplug during long periods of non-use to prevent fire hazards.

CAUTION: Features an auto standby function. If no sound is detected for approximately 30 minutes, the unit enters Standby mode. It automatically powers on when an audio signal is input. This function cannot be disabled.

Installation and Connections

How to Install

Speaker sound is influenced by listening room conditions. Consider your installation location for optimum listening.

WARNING: Keep small parts away from children. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

VENTILATION CAUTION: Leave at least 15 cm space around the unit (top, rear, sides) for heat radiation.

WARNING: Do not block ventilation openings to prevent overheating and fire hazards. Avoid covering with items like newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, or operating on thick carpet/bed.

Connections

Connecting Cords

Connect the supplied speaker cord to the speakers:

  1. Strip about 1 cm of the speaker cord head, twist and remove the exposed insulator. Twist the core wires thoroughly.
  2. Connect the speaker cord to the LEFT and RIGHT speaker terminals.
  3. Insert core wires into terminals while pressing the claw. Connect the cord with the red line to the '+' terminal (red) and the cord without the red line to the '-' terminal (black).

CAUTION: Lightly pull speaker cords to ensure secure connection. Loose connections can cause audio interruption or noise. Twist core wires thoroughly and ensure no wires protrude from terminals to prevent contact with the rear panel or other components, which could cause amplifier overload or malfunction. Incorrect polarity (+/-) on left/right speakers will prevent normal stereo effect.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, consult the FAQ at pioneerdj.com/support/. Inspect connected devices. Try turning the speakers off and on. If problems persist, read "Precautions for Use" and contact an authorized service company or dealer.
