Extendable & Trimmable

Extending the Strip

Tug the sides of the connector cap outward and flip down as illustrated.
Peel back a portion of the 3M™ tape backer from the main strip.
Insert the strip all the way into the slot.
Align the connector pins with the copper pads on the strip.
Close the cap securely.
Repeat the connection process for the extension strip. Make sure the arrows on both strips and the connector are aligned in the same direction to match the polarities.

Caution: To ensure proper functionality, connect strips to extensions of the same color type. Diagrams illustrate connecting a single-color strip to another single-color strip, and a single-color strip to a multi-color strip, emphasizing polarity alignment.

Trimming the Strip

Make a vertical cut through the copper pads. ✂️

Note: To repurpose the trimmed section, remove the plastic coating on the copper pads. Be careful not to damage the copper pads. Then, use the provided connector to join the strips.

Installation

Before installation, test the product and plan the wiring route to ensure it won't interfere with vehicle operations, drag on the ground, or snag on objects.

Select your desired location inside the vehicle.
Clean the surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol (not included).
Peel back the 3M™ backer at one end, then carefully apply the strip to the cleaned surface, gradually removing the remaining backer as you go.

Caution: Do not install the LED strip at the corner where it will be bent.

Option A - 12V Power Adapter

Connect the power adapter to any 12V power socket.
Power on/off the strip using the switch on the adapter. [ON/OFF Switch]

Option B - 12V Hardwire

Cut the positive (+, black and white) and negative (-, black) wires connected to each strip.
Peel back a portion of the insulation to separate the wires.
Strip the ends of the wires. If you need to extend the wire length, use the butt splice connectors or heat-shrink tubes to join the existing wires to the extended wires.
Take the two positive (+, black and white) wires, one from each strip, and twist them together. Repeat the same process for the two negative (-, black) wires.
Insert the wires all the way into their respective terminals until the insulation touches the barrel.
Crimp the terminals tightly onto the wires. Tug to ensure connection is secure.
Connect the positive (+) terminal to a 12V power source, and the negative (-) terminal to ground.

Diagrams illustrate the use of wire strippers, butt splice connectors, heat shrink tubes, and spade terminals for connecting wires.
