Product Overview
The mild steel double-door compact floor standing enclosure range, MKD, is ideal for installation in confined spaces where a single door, when opened, would take up too much space in front of the enclosure. The doors' loading capacity also increases as it is divided over two doors. With an IP 55 protection degree, components inside the enclosure are well protected and it is well suited for many different applications.

Features and Construction
Materials
- Body: 1.35 mm painted steel
- Rear and roof panels: 1.5 mm painted steel
- Door: 2 mm painted steel
- Mounting plate: 3 mm galvanized steel
- Bottom plates: 1 mm galvanized steel
Body Construction
The body features a four-times folded and seam-welded frame. It includes integrated depth profiles with a hole pattern, allowing for mounting plate adjustment in depth.
Doors
Doors are mounted with four hinges and include a door frame with a 25 mm hole pattern. Standard doors cannot be reversed. Separate doors must be ordered for left-hand door locking.
Rear Panel
The rear panel is fitted by M6 torx screws. Standard facilities are provided for rear door mounting. Split rear panels are available on 1600 mm wide enclosures.
Roof Panel
The roof panel is removable.
Locking System
Features an Espagnolette 4-point locking system in the main door and a 2-point locking system in the slave door. A standard double-bit lock with a 3 mm insert is included. Standard inserts, cylinders, lift handles, and T-handles are available as accessories.
Bottom Plates
Consists of three pieces.
Mounting Plate
The mounting plate is double folded and slides into position. It is adjustable in depth by steps of 25 mm, with the MPD02 accessory. It is supplied attached on the outside of the enclosure packaging.
Earthing
All panels are earthed through their fittings and are equipped with a separate earthing stud. All panels are grounded through their fittings and equipped with an independent grounding stem.
Finish
RAL 7035 structured powder coating.
Protection Ratings
Delivery
Includes: Body with fitted door, rear panel, roof panel, bottom plates, mounting plate (except in PE version), and door frame. Delivery also includes earthing bolts. The enclosure is delivered on a pallet identical to the enclosure width. All packing material is recyclable.
