nVent HOFFMAN MCD Series Floor Standing Enclosure

Product Description

The MCD series of combinable mild steel floor standing enclosures with double doors is ideal for installations in tight spaces where a single door, when opened, would take up too much room at the front of the enclosure. The division into two doors also increases the load capacity. With an IP 55 protection rating, components are well protected inside the enclosure, making it suitable for many different applications.

Material:

• Frame: 1.5 mm powder-coated steel
• Doors: 2 mm powder-coated steel
• Rear wall, roof, and side panels: 1.5 mm powder-coated steel
• Mounting plate: 3 mm galvanized steel
• Bottom plates: 1 mm galvanized steel

Features:

• Frame: Fully welded, formed open profiles with 25 mm hole pattern according to DIN 43660. Includes integrated external hole pattern.
• Doors: Mounted with 4 hinges. Includes door frame with 25 mm hole pattern. Doors cannot be reversed. Differently hinged doors (left or right hinged) can be ordered separately.
• Rear wall: Mounted with M6 Torx screws. Standard provision for mounting a door instead of the rear wall is present. Divided rear panels on 1600 mm wide cabinets. The RD version is supplied with a rear door instead of a rear panel.
• Side panels: Available as an accessory.
• Roof panel: Removable.
• Lock: 4-point espagnolet locking system in the right door and 2-point locking system in the left door. Standard double-bit lock with 3 mm insert. Standard inserts, cylinders, lift handles, and T-handles are available as accessories.
• Bottom plates: Consist of three or four (D>600) parts.
• Mounting plate: Double-folded and adjustable in depth in 25 mm steps, using mounting bracket accessory type MPD02.
• Earthing: All panels are earthed via their fastenings and are provided with a separate earthing bolt.
• Finish: Textured powder coating, RAL 7035.
• Protection rating: IP 55 | TYPE 12 | IK 10.
