Getting Started
Wireless Sensor Setup
- Remove the battery door.
- Assign the channel number (CH 1-8) using the channel slide switch.
- Insert 2 x AA batteries, observing polarity.
- Press the [RCC] key for radio-controlled time signal reception.
- Close the battery door.
Main Unit Setup
- Plug the power adapter into the main unit.
- The main unit will power up and enter normal time mode.
Wireless Sensor Signal Receiving
Press the [SENSOR] key in normal mode to pair the sensor for the currently displayed channel. The signal icon ? will flash until reception is successful. If no signal is received within 5 minutes, the icon disappears. If a signal for a channel is discontinued for over 1 hour, the signal icon disappears and "Er" is displayed for that channel. If the signal does not recover within 48 hours, "Er" becomes permanent, requiring a reset and re-pairing.
Viewing Indoor and Multiple Wireless Sensor Channels
Press the [CH / +] key to switch between the Indoor (IN) display and outdoor sensor channels (CH 1-8). Press and hold the [CH / +] key for 2 seconds to enter auto-cycle mode, indicated by a "bi" sound and the auto-cycle icon ?. The display will alternate between IN and CH 1-8 every 4 seconds. Pressing [CH / +] again during auto-cycle mode stops it and displays the current channel.
Reception of Radio Controlled Signal
The time and date are radio-controlled, automatically synchronized with the signal from an RC station via the wireless sensor. Ensure the wireless sensor is connected to the main unit.
RCC Signal Strength Indicator
The signal indicator shows reception status. It can indicate "No RCC signal received" or "Received RCC signal". The wireless sensor automatically searches for the time signal daily at 2:00 and 17:00.
Daylight Saving Time (DST)
The clock automatically switches for daylight saving time. This function can be disabled in the time and calendar setting mode. DST AUTO/OFF setting is only available when RCC function is ON.
Time and Calendar Setting
- In normal mode, press and hold the [TIME SET] key for 2 seconds to enter date and time setting mode.
- Press [CH / +] or [MEM / -] keys to adjust the setting values. Press and hold the keys for quick adjustment.
- Press the [TIME SET] key to proceed to the next setting.
- The setting sequence includes: 12/24H format, Hour, Minute, Year, Month/Day, ±23 Hour offset, RCC ON/OFF, and Weather forecast icon Animation ON/OFF.
- Press the [TIME SET] key or leave the unit idle for 60 seconds to complete the setting and return to normal mode.
Alarm Setting and Display
In normal time mode, press the [TIME SET] key to display the time of alarm 1, and press again to display alarm 2. Press and hold the [ALARM] key for 2 seconds to enter the alarm time setting mode. The alarm hour digit will flash.
Using Alarm and Snooze Function
Set the desired alarm time as described above. Press the [ALARM] button to turn on alarm 1 (indicated by "1"), alarm 2 (indicated by "2"), or both. Pressing [ALARM] again turns off alarms. When the alarm time is reached, the alarm sound starts. The alarm can be stopped by:
- Auto-stop after 2 minutes of alarming without operation; it will activate again the next day.
- Pressing the [ALARM / SNOOZE] key to enter snooze mode (alarm sounds again after 5 minutes).
- Pressing and holding the [ALARM / SNOOZE] key for 2 seconds to stop the alarm, which will activate again the next day.
- Pressing the [ALARM] key to stop the alarm, which will activate again the next day.
Note: The snooze function can be used continuously for 24 hours. During snooze, the alarm icon "1" or "2" will keep flashing.
Temperature and Humidity Trend
The temperature and humidity trend indicator shows changes over the next few minutes. Arrows indicate a rising ⬆️, steady ➡️, or falling ⬇️ trend.
Mold Indication
The mold icon ? is a pictorial indication based on indoor and outdoor air temperature and humidity to help determine the risk of mold. It helps monitor factors in the home that can lead to mold, dust mites, and bacteria. This indication is a reference for monitoring your living environment and reminding you of mold risks.
Ice Icon
When the temperature of the current channel is 3°C or below, the flashing ice icon ❄️ will appear in the temperature section.
Heat Index
In normal mode, press the [INDEX] key to show the HEAT INDEX value. The heat index is calculated when room temperature is between 26~50°C, based on indoor or outdoor sensor readings.
Heat index | Risk level | Potential risk |
---|---|---|
Above 46.1°C | Extreme Danger | Heat stroke or sunstroke highly likely |
39.5°C~46.1°C | Danger | Sunstroke, muscle cramps, and/or heat exhaustion likely |
32.8 °C~39.4°C | Extreme Caution | Sunstroke, muscle cramps, and/or heat exhaustion possible |
26.7 °C~32.7°C | Caution | Fatigue possible |
Weather Forecast
The built-in barometer predicts weather conditions for the next 12-24 hours based on atmospheric pressure changes. Icons represent: Sunny / Clear ☀️, Partly Cloudy ?️, Cloudy ☁️, Rainy ?️, Snowy ?️. The accuracy of the forecast is about 70-75%. The SNOWY forecast is based on current temperature; if it's below -3°C, the SNOWY indicator is displayed.
Barometric / Atmospheric Pressure
Press the [BARO] key to show barometric readings. Press again to change units (inHg / mmHg / hPa). Press and hold [BARO] for 2 seconds to toggle between ABSOLUTE (local pressure) and RELATIVE (sea level pressure). To set RELATIVE pressure value, press and hold [BARO] for 2 seconds until "Abs" or "Rel" flashes, use [CH / +] or [MEM / -] to switch to RELATIVE, press [BARO] to flash the relative pressure digit, use [CH / +] or [MEM / -] to change the value, and press [BARO] to save. The default relative pressure is 1013 hPa. Changes to relative pressure affect weather indicators.
Past 24 Hours History Record
The main unit automatically records 24 hours of weather data. Press the [HISTORY] key to check past 1-hour records, or press repeatedly to view records 2 through 24.
MAX/MIN Record
The unit stores MAX/MIN weather data since the last manual reset. Press [MEM / -] to show maximum temperature, then cycle through maximum/minimum temperature and humidity readings with timestamps. Records return to normal mode after 6 seconds. To erase MAX/MIN records for the current channel, press and hold [MEM / -] for 2 seconds when displaying MAX record.
Alert Setting and Display
The unit allows setting HI/LO temperature and humidity alerts for indoor and up to 8 outdoor channels. In normal mode, press and hold [ALERT] for 2 seconds to enter alert setting mode. Use [CH / +] or [MEM / -] to select the channel (IN or CH 1-8). Press [ALERT] to move to the next setting: Channel, HI/LO temperature, HI/LO humidity. Use [CH / +] or [MEM / -] to adjust values (0.1°C/°F or 1% humidity). Press [ALARM] to toggle the alert on/off. Finish by pressing and holding [ALERT] for 2 seconds or leaving the unit idle for 60 seconds.
