The Fenix BC21R V3.0 is a high-performance, rechargeable bicycle headlight designed for cyclists. Operation
Turn On/Off: Press and hold the tail switch for 0.5 seconds to turn the light on or off.
Output Selection: With the light on, single-click the tail switch to cycle through the output modes in the following order: Eco -> Low -> Medium -> High -> Turbo.
SOS Mode: From any output mode, press and hold the tail switch for 1.2 seconds to activate SOS mode. Press and hold the switch for 0.5 seconds to return to the previously used output mode.
Battery & Charging
Battery Level Indication: When the light is turned off, single-click the tail switch to display the remaining battery level:
- Four Green LEDs: 80% - 100%
- Three Green LEDs: 60% - 80%
- Two Green LEDs: 40% - 60%
- One Green LED: 20% - 40%
- One Red LED: Below 20%
Charging Procedure:
- Open the protective cover of the USB Type-C charging port located on the light.
- Connect the included USB Type-C cable to the charging port and the other end to a compatible power source (e.g., USB adapter, computer).
- During charging, an indicator LED near the port will glow red.
- Once charging is complete, the indicator LED will turn green.
- The charging time for a fully depleted battery is approximately 3 hours.
It is recommended to fully charge the battery before the first use.
Intelligent Overheat Protection: The light is designed to automatically reduce its output level if the internal temperature exceeds 60°C (140°F) to prevent damage and ensure safe operation. The output will increase again once the temperature drops.
Mounting
The BC21R V3.0 comes with a quick-release mounting system that allows for easy and secure attachment to most standard bicycle handlebars. Adjust the mount to fit your handlebar diameter and slide the light into the mount until it clicks into place. Removal is equally simple by pressing the release mechanism.
Warnings & Safety Precautions
- Do not disassemble the sealed unit to prevent damage or voiding the warranty.
- Eye Safety: Avoid looking directly into the LED beam, as the high brightness can cause permanent eye damage. Keep out of reach of children.
- Battery Safety: Use only the specified 18650 Li-ion battery type. Do not use damaged batteries. Handle batteries with care and dispose of them properly according to local regulations.
- Water Exposure: While rated IP66, do not immerse the light in water for extended periods. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed when not charging.
- Operating Temperature: Avoid using the light in extreme temperatures outside its specified operating range.
