Warranty

This coaxial speaker is covered by warranty, subject to the conditions in the country of sale. When returning the speaker for service, please include the original dated receipt with the product.

General

Sound systems can vary in door speaker size. Before assembly, confirm that your vehicle's speaker size matches this DLS PA6 speaker.

Declaration of Conformity

DLS Performance vehicle speakers are manufactured in accordance with EU directive EEC 95/54 (72/245/ EEC) and are marked with an approval number. They also comply with the WEEE-directive 2012/19/EC and the EU RoHS directive 2015/863/EU.

Pre Installation

Disconnect Battery

Before replacing speakers, disconnect and secure the negative terminal from your battery/power source. This prevents the risk of damaging yourself or the products. Place the disconnected terminal in a secure, isolated location away from any possible connection to the battery/power source system.

Installation

Mount the speakers in the car door or rear shelf. They may fit factory pre-made mounting holes; if not, modification might be necessary. For improved sound reinforcement, consider using an MDF-board baffle. Mounting higher up on the door side is preferable. For door placements, speaker rings are typically required to fit the speaker to the door panel.

NOTE! It is important to fasten the speakers properly to avoid poor sound quality or rattling.

Door Insulation

DLS recommends using insulation/sound deadening material in car doors. This reduces road/tire noise and prevents rattles from plastic interior details.

If you need guidance on choosing door insulation, consult your DLS distributor.

Running-in Time

Allow the speakers to play for at least 15-20 hours for optimal performance. This run-in period can be achieved with a tone sweep or regular music. Start at a moderate volume and gradually increase it during the running-in process. After 15-20 hours, the performance and characteristics will be in their correct condition.
