Step 2: Center Between Studs
Center between studs. [Illustration shows a vertical cross-section of a wall with two vertical studs marked, indicating the center point for installation.]
Step 3: Measure and Mark
Measure and mark the location for holes with pencil. [Illustration shows a wall section with a pencil marking two horizontal lines, indicating the desired height and spacing for the outlets. Dimensions '9FT/2.7M MAX' are noted.]
Step 4: Drill Holes
Drill holes with provided Hole Saw. [Illustration shows a hole saw attached to a drill, positioned to create openings in the wall.]
Step 5: Snake Power Cable
Use Fish Tape to snake the In-Wall Power Cable into the wall with the Female Tip at the top and the Male Tip at the bottom. Use tape to secure the Fish Tape if needed. [Illustration shows a flexible fish tape being fed through a wall cavity, pulling the In-Wall Power Cable. The cable has distinct 'FEMALE TIP' and 'MALE TIP' ends. A note indicates 'Snake any additional cables at this time. Coax cable not included.']
Step 6: Connect Cable Tips to Housings
At the top, insert Female Tip into the back side of an In-Wall Housing unit. Repeat at the bottom with the Male Tip. [Illustration shows the 'FEMALE TIP' of the power cable connecting to the rear of one in-wall housing unit, and the 'MALE TIP' connecting to another.]
Step 7: Attach Crowns and Screws
Snap on Female Crown over the Plug Tip and secure with screws. Repeat at the bottom with the Male Tip and Male Crown. [Illustration shows a 'FEMALE CROWN' being attached to the 'FEMALE TIP' connection, secured with screws. The process is repeated for the male connection.]
Step 8: Insert Housing into Wall
Fold in Dog Ears and slide Housing into wall. Repeat at the bottom with the Male Housing. [Illustration shows the 'Dog Ears' (mounting tabs) of the in-wall housing being folded inwards, and the housing unit being slid into the wall opening.]
Step 9: Secure Housing
Level and screw Dog Ears until Housing is secure. Repeat at the bottom with the Male Housing. [Illustration shows screws being driven through the 'Dog Ears' to secure the housing unit to the wall. A level is shown to ensure it's straight.]
Step 10: Attach Fascia
Snap Housing Fascia onto the front of the Housing. Repeat at the bottom with the Male Housing. [Illustration shows the decorative 'FASCIA HOUSING' (faceplate) being snapped onto the front of the installed in-wall housing.]
Step 11: Final Connection
Plug Extension Cord into the bottom device. Installation is now complete. [Illustration shows the completed installation with the fascia in place and an extension cord plugged into the newly created outlet.]
