Introduction

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, setup, and operation of the Trust ZCM-1800 Zigbee Smart Build-in Switch. This device enables wireless control of your lighting, integrating seamlessly into your smart home ecosystem via the Trust Smart Home app or a Zigbee remote control.

Installation Guide

Step 1: Turn OFF Mains Power

Before starting any installation or removal, always disconnect the power supply from the fuse box. The ZCM-1800 is designed for use with either two wall switches controlling one lamp (e.g., stairwell or hotel circuits) or a single wall switch controlling one lamp.

Step 2: Loosen Ceiling Lights

Carefully remove the existing light fixture from the ceiling, ensuring the wires remain connected to the fixture. The lighting load must not exceed the maximum wattage rating. If a live wire (brown) is not present, it needs to be routed. Consult an electrician if you have any doubts.

Step 3: Disconnect Switch and Neutral Wires

To install the ZCM-1800, disconnect the switch wire (typically black) and the neutral wire (typically blue) from the lamp. This may involve disconnecting the terminal block or cutting the wires if necessary. If you are uncertain about wire colors, please consult an electrician.

Step 4: Connect Live Wire to Terminal Block

Connect the live wire (brown) originating from the ceiling box to a terminal block. Subsequently, connect the other end of this live wire (brown) to the same terminal block.

Step 5: Connect Wires to the Module

• Connect the neutral wire (blue) from the ceiling box to the outer [N] terminal on the module.
• Optional: The [S] terminal does not require connection. If you intend to continue using a wall switch, connect the switch wire (black) from the ceiling box to the [S] terminal.
• Connect the neutral wire (blue) of the lamp to the center [N] terminal.
• Connect the switch wire (black) of the lamp to the [LI] terminal.
• Connect a new live wire (brown) from the terminal block to the [L] terminal.
• Ensure all terminal screws are tightened securely.

Step 7: Download the App

To connect the switch to a Smart Bridge or ICS-2000, download and install the Trust Smart Home Switch-in App from the Google Play Store or the App Store.

Step 8: Switch On Mains Voltage

After completing the wiring, turn on the mains power. Be cautious and avoid touching any exposed wire parts. The LED indicator on the module will flash for approximately 60 seconds to confirm that the device is in connection mode.

Step 9: Connect Module via App

Open the Trust Smart Home App. Select a room, then press the '+' button. Choose 'Trust Smart Home', then 'Premium Line', and select the 'built-in switch'. Follow the on-screen instructions in the App to complete the setup.

Step 11: Install Module

First, verify that the lighting operates correctly. Place the switch into the ceiling box. Reinstall the lamp. It is crucial to ensure that the built-in switch remains accessible at all times for potential future actions such as resetting or reconnecting.

ℹ️ Activate Connection Mode

If the ZCM-1800 is not currently connected to a Smart Bridge or ICS-2000, you can manually initiate connection mode by briefly pressing the 'join' button on the module. The LED indicator will then flash slowly for 60 seconds, signaling that it is ready for connection.

ℹ️ Reset ZCM-1800

Warning: Performing this reset will remove the module from its paired Smart Bridge or ICS-2000, or from the ZYCT-202. To reset the switch, press and hold the 'join' button for 6 seconds. The LED indicator will flash rapidly. Subsequently, press the button briefly once more. The connected lamp will cycle ON-OFF-ON-OFF to confirm the reset, after which the module will enter connection mode.
