Mounting
Pole Mounting
Attach the mounting bracket to the pole. Ensure the cable gland on the device is directed downwards to prevent water ingress.

The PFWB5-30n and PFWB5-30ac are wireless bridges designed for high-speed data transmission.

PoE Connection
Use the provided 24 V DC passive PoE injector. Connect the Ethernet cable from the injector to the device's ETH+POE port. The power cord depends on the region.
Important Note: For all wired Ethernet connections, use shielded Category 5 (or higher) cabling and ground it through the AC power of the PoE. For outdoor installations, it is recommended to use Ethernet surge protectors near the device to absorb voltage spikes and dissipate them to the ground.

Default Login Settings
- IP Address: DHCP Client (Fallback IP: 192.168.1.36)
- Username: admin
- Password: admin
Configuration Procedure
Prerequisites
- Ensure your computer is connected to the LAN port of the wireless device's PoE injector.
- Your computer's IP address and the device's IP address must be in the same network segment.
Step 1: Accessing the Device
Open an Internet Explorer browser, enter the default IP address of the wireless device in the address bar, and press Enter.

Step 2: Logging In
Enter the username and password, then click 'Login'. The system will display the interface shown in Figure 1-2.
Note: The default username and password are 'admin'. It is recommended to set a strong password and change it regularly.

Step 3: Wireless Configuration
Navigate to 'Settings > Wireless Configuration'. Set the frequency and channel. Set the wireless operating mode to 'Access Point (auto WDS)'.
Available operating modes include: Access Point (auto WDS), Wireless Access Point (TDMA2), Access Point (TDMA3), Station (WDS/TDMA2/TDMA3), and Wireless Client (ARPNAT).
Click the settings icon in the bottom right corner of the SSID, set the SSID and security information, and then click 'Done'.
Notes:
- A device connected to a camera should be set to 'Station (WDS/TDMA2/TDMA3)' mode.
- A device connected to a machine room should be set to 'Access Point (Auto WDS)' mode.
- Wireless Client with 'Client (ARPNAT)' mode is used with an access point that does not support standard WDS mode.
- Select WDS mode to ensure transparent data transmission.

Step 4: Saving Changes
Click 'Save Changes' in the top right corner, then click 'Save'.

Step 5: Station Configuration
Navigate to 'Settings > Wireless Configuration' and select the 'Station (WDS/TDMA2/TDMA3)' operating mode. Click the settings icon for the SSID, click the 'Refresh' icon, search for the AP's SSID, click 'Select', enter the SSID password, and click 'Done'.

Step 6: Network Configuration
Select 'Network Configuration' and change the IP address to avoid IP address conflicts (e.g., 192.168.1.37). Click 'Save'.

Step 7: Connection Status
The device will display a normal connection status.

Important Recommendations and Warnings
Usage Recommendations
- Be careful not to spill any liquids on the device. Do not place anything filled with liquids on the device to prevent them from entering.
- Use the device only within its rated input and output ranges.
- Do not disassemble the device without reason.
- Transport, use, and store the device within the permissible humidity and ambient temperature ranges.
