Orbit Irrigation Products, LLC, 915 N. Overland Rd., North Salt Lake, UT 84054 USA declares that the B-hyve® Smart Wi-Fi Indoor Sprinkler Controller complies with European Directives 2014/53/EU and UKCA Radio Equipment Regulations 2017, SI 2017:1206, referencing standards such as IEC (EN) 60730 series, EN 50663, EN 301 489 series, EN 55032, EN 61000-3-3, EN 55035, and EN 300 328.

Certifications include CE, UK, CA, and NOM (IFETEL: 11858C0221).

FCC and IC Statement

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules and Industry Canada license-exempt RSS standards. Operation is subject to two conditions: it must not cause harmful interference, and it must accept any interference received. Modifications not expressly approved may void the user's authority to operate the equipment. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with Class B digital device limits, providing reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations. Users are advised to maintain a 20 cm distance from the controller for RF exposure compliance. This apparatus complies with Canadian ICES-003.

The B-hyve® App

Install the B-hyve® app on your smart device to connect the controller to Wi-Fi. The app guides you through initial setup, offers help screens, videos, and useful tips.

App Interface Elements:

• Controller Connected Symbol: Indicates the controller's connection status.
• Running Status/Messaging: Displays current watering status or messages.
• Weather/Temperature: Shows current weather conditions and temperature.
• Smart Watering: Section for smart watering features.
• Stop Watering: Button to manually stop watering.
• Rain Delay: Feature to pause watering due to rain.
• Next Zone: Indicates the next watering zone.
• Calendar: Access to the watering schedule calendar.
• Programs: Section to manage watering programs.
• Remote Control or Home Button: Button for remote operation or returning to the home screen.
• Zone List: Displays a list of configured watering zones.

Controller Installation

Select a Location

Choose a location near power and away from direct sunlight, if possible. Ensure the location has a good Wi-Fi signal (minimum of two bars) by checking with a smartphone.

Note: If replacing a controller, take a photo of the existing wires before disconnecting them.

Mount the Controller

Install a screw into the wall. Use expanding anchors for plaster, masonry, or drywall installations. Hang the controller on the installed screw using the keyhole slot. Level the controller and use a second screw in one of the pre-formed mounting holes to secure it.

Connect Valve Wires

Prepare Wire: Strip 13mm (1/2 inch) of insulation from each wire.

Connect Wires: Attach one wire from each valve to a Common (COM) wire. Connect the other wires to a numbered terminal (one wire per terminal). The process involves loosening a screw, inserting the wire, and tightening the screw.

Connecting to Wi-Fi

Plug in Your Orbit® B-hyve® Controller

Once plugged in, the controller will automatically look to pair with your smart device. The status light will blink blue, indicating it's ready for pairing. Ensure your smart device has Bluetooth® turned on.

Connect to Your Orbit® B-hyve® Controller

Open the B-hyve® app, create an account or log in, and follow the step-by-step process to add and set up your device. The app will guide you to connect to your home Wi-Fi network.

Connect to Your Wi-Fi Network

Select your network from the list and enter the password. A solid white status light indicates a successful Wi-Fi connection.

Note: If your network is not listed, use the app's refresh or advanced options to manually enter your network name and password. This device only connects to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

For optimum controller performance, connect to Wi-Fi to receive the latest controller updates.

Programming and Operation

Programming the Controller

The B-hyve® app provides help screens and videos for Wi-Fi connections, programming, smart watering, and general questions.

Note: Your programmed schedules are stored in both the app and the controller. Watering will continue even if the Wi-Fi connection is lost.

Manual Operation

All programming and full functionality are available via the B-hyve® app. Basic operations can also be performed directly at the controller.
