Installation Guide

This section outlines the general steps for installing Franke sinks. Specific steps may vary based on sink material and installation type (inset or undermount).

Countertop Preparation

Step 1: Measure and mark the countertop according to the sink template. Ensure correct dimensions (e.g., A, B, r1). Note required clearances (e.g., +1.0 mm, -0.0 mm).

Step 2: Carefully cut the opening in the countertop using a jigsaw.

Surface Preparation and Sealing

Step 3: Clean the edges of the countertop opening and the sink rim using alcohol and nitro cleaner.

Step 4: Apply sealant along the edge of the countertop opening or sink rim to ensure a watertight seal.

Sink Material Specifics

Fragranite, Fraceram (Page 4):

• Step 1: Prepare the sink and countertop for placement.
• Step 2: Drill necessary holes for faucets or accessories (e.g., Ø 35 mm hole, part number 112.0473.656).
• Step 3: Install the faucet into the sink or countertop.

Tectonite (Page 5):

• Step 1 & 2: Drill holes for accessories, observing recommended RPM settings [RPM gauge].
• Step 3: Install the faucet.

Inset Installation (Pages 6-8)

Follow specific diagrams (A, B, C) for inset installation:

• Apply sealant around the countertop opening.
• Carefully place the sink into the opening.
• Secure the sink using the provided clips or mounting hardware, following the detailed diagrams for correct placement and fastening.

Undermount Installation (Page 10)

• Step 1: Prepare the countertop and sink for undermount installation.
• Step 2: Drill mounting holes in the underside of the countertop.
• Step 3: Apply sealant to the sink rim.
• Step 4: Position the sink under the countertop opening.
• Step 5: Secure the sink from underneath using the provided clips and screws.
• Step 6: Perform final checks to ensure a secure and watertight installation.

Care and Maintenance
