Contact FORNO customer service for any issues. Troubleshooting with a representative is required before a service provider is dispatched. All warranty work must be authorized by FORNO customer service. Authorized service providers are carefully selected and trained.
Warranty Information
Limited Warranty: This warranty applies exclusively to the original FORNO appliance sold to the consumer by an authorized dealer/distributor/retailer, purchased and installed in the United States or Canada. Coverage is activated on the date of original retail purchase and lasts for two (2) years.
The warranty is non-transferable. Replacement parts or products assume the remaining original warranty period. FORNO Appliances will repair or replace any component that fails due to materials or workmanship within 2 years of purchase for ordinary residential, non-commercial use. Repair or replacement, including labor and shipping, is free of charge. The purchaser is responsible for making the product accessible for service. Service must be performed by a FORNO Authorized Service company during normal working hours.
IMPORTANT: Retain proof of original purchase to establish the warranty period. FORNO's liability is limited to the value of the goods or service giving rise to the claim.
30-Day Cosmetic Warranty: FORNO warrants the product is free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for thirty (30) days from the original retail purchase date. This includes paint blemishes, chips, and macroscopic finish defects.
Cosmetic warranty does NOT cover: Issues from incorrect transport, handling, or installation (e.g., dents, broken components, cracked glass); slight color variations; differences due to lighting or location; stains/corrosion/discoloration from external factors; labor costs, display, floor, B-stock, out-of-box, or demo units.
How to Receive Service: Contact the FORNO Support department to determine the problem and required service procedures. Troubleshooting with a customer service representative is necessary. You will need your model number, serial number, and date of original retail purchase.
Warranty Exclusions: The warranty does not cover non-residential/commercial use, use for unintended purposes, repairs by unauthorized parties, installation not in accordance with codes, damage from improper storage, products sold from original packaging or displays, incorrect installation, repairs to wiring/gas lines, providing instructions, use contrary to normal residential use, wear and tear (seals, knobs, etc.), lack of maintenance, accidents, alteration, misuse, abuse, improper installation, product transport/handling damage, external forces (acts of God), or products with altered serial numbers. FORNO is not liable for damage to surrounding property. If the product is in a remote area without certified technicians, the purchaser bears transportation costs.
There are no express warranties other than those listed. FORNO is not liable for loss of revenue, profits, savings, benefits, time away from work, meals, food loss, travel expenses, appliance rental/purchase, or consequential damages, regardless of the legal theory. Recovery is limited to the purchase price of the product. The purchaser assumes all risk and liability for loss, damage, or injury not directly resulting from FORNO's negligence. This warranty is non-transferable and states your exclusive remedy.
Consumer Information & Safety
Range Safety: Your safety and the safety of others are paramount. Read and obey all safety messages. The safety alert symbol ⚠️ indicates potential personal or property safety hazards.
WARNING indicates a potentially hazardous situation that could result in serious injury or death if not avoided.
CAUTION indicates a moderate hazardous situation that could result in minor or moderate injury if not avoided.
All safety messages explain the hazard, how to reduce injury risk, and consequences of not following instructions.
WARNING: Failure to follow manual instructions exactly may result in fire, explosion, property damage, personal injury, or death. Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids near this or any other appliance.
Anti-Tip Device: WARNING: Tip-over Hazard. A child or adult can tip the range, causing serious injury or death. Install the anti-tip device to the range and/or structure per installation instructions. Engage the range to the device. Re-engage if the range is removed. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury, or burns. To reduce tipping risk, secure the range with the properly installed anti-tip device. All ranges can tip and cause injuries. Ensure the anti-tip bracket is installed by sliding the range forward and securely attaching the bracket to the wall behind it.
California Proposition 65 Warning: This product may expose you to chemicals, including carbon monoxide, known to the State of California to cause developmental harm. For more information, visit www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
WARNING: Never operate the top surface cooking section unattended. Failure to follow this warning may result in fire, explosion, or burn hazard, causing property damage, personal injury, or death. If a fire occurs, stay away and call the fire department immediately. DO NOT attempt to extinguish an oil/grease fire with water.
General Safety Instructions:
- Use the range only for its intended purpose as described in this manual.
- Have the range installed and properly grounded by a qualified installer according to installation instructions.
- Service should only be performed by qualified professionals. Do not attempt repairs yourself unless specifically recommended.
- Connect the range to a 240-volt grounded outlet only. Do not remove the grounding prong. If unsure about home electrical grounding, consult a qualified electrician. Do not use an extension cord.
- Before maintenance, unplug the stove or disconnect power via the circuit breaker.
- Remove all packing materials before operating to prevent ignition.
- Avoid scratching or impacting glass displays, as this may lead to breakage. Do not cook on a product with broken glass; this can cause shock, fire, or cuts.
- Do not leave children alone or unattended near the appliance. They should not climb, sit, or stand on any part of the range.
- CAUTION: Do not store items of interest to children in cabinets above the oven, as they could be injured climbing to reach them.
- Never block the range vents (air openings). They are necessary for proper combustion and operation. Air openings are located at the rear of the cooktop, top/bottom of the oven door, and at the bottom of the range.
- Use only dry pots; moist or damp pots on hot surfaces can cause steam burns. Do not place towels or heavy fabrics under pots.
- Do not touch heating elements or interior oven surfaces; they can be very hot. Allow ample cooling time. Other surfaces may also become hot.
- Do not heat unopened food containers; pressure buildup can cause bursting and injury.
- WARNING: Extremely Heavy. Proper equipment and manpower are needed to move the range to avoid personal injury or damage.
- WARNING: DO NOT carry or lift the range by the oven door handle or control panel.
Fire Safety:
- Cook food thoroughly to prevent foodborne illness. Refer to www.IsItDoneYet.gov and www.fsis.usda.gov for food temperature recommendations. Use a food thermometer.
- Do not allow anyone to climb, stand, or hang on the oven door, drawer, or cooktop, as this can damage the range or cause tipping, leading to severe injury or death.
- Keep the ventilator hood and grease filter clean for good venting and to avoid grease fires. Turn the ventilator OFF during a fire or when intentionally flaming liquor/spirits on the cooktop, as the blower can spread flames.
- WARNING: Keep Flammable Materials Away From The Range. Failure to do so may result in fire or personal injury. Do not store or use flammable materials (paper, plastic, pot holders, linens, curtains, gasoline, etc.) in or near the range. Never wear loose-fitting garments that could ignite. Do not let cooking grease or flammable materials accumulate in or near the range.
- WARNING: In the Event of a Fire, Take the Following Steps to Prevent Injury and Fire Spreading: Do not use water on grease fires. Never pick up a flaming pan. Turn off controls. Smother a flaming pan on a surface unit with a well-fitting lid, cookie sheet, or flat tray. Use a multi-purpose dry chemical or foam-type fire extinguisher. If a fire is in the oven during baking, smother it by closing the oven door and turning the oven off, or use a fire extinguisher. If a fire is in the oven during self-clean, turn the oven off and wait for it to go out. Do not force the door open, as fresh air can cause a burst of flame.
Cooktop Safety Instructions:
- Never leave the surface heater unattended at medium or high heat settings, especially with oily foods, as this can cause fires spreading to cabinets.
- Never leave oil unattended while frying. If oil heats beyond its smoking point, it can ignite and spread fire. Use a deep fat thermometer to monitor oil temperature.
- To avoid oil spillover and fire, use minimal oil when frying in a shallow pan and avoid cooking frozen foods with excessive ice.
- Use pots of the proper size for stability. Select a cooker that matches the heater size. Adjust heater temperature appropriately; excessive heating is dangerous.
- When using glass/ceramic cookware, ensure it's suitable for cooktop use, as sudden temperature changes can cause breakage.
- Turn cookware handles toward the center of the range to prevent them from extending over nearby heaters, minimizing the risk of ignition of flammable materials and spillage.
- Do not cover any part of the heater or decorative stove with aluminum foil, as this can cause overheating and fire hazards.
Oven Safety Instructions:
- NEVER cover oven slots, holes, passages, or racks with aluminum foil or oven liners, as this blocks airflow, potentially causing carbon monoxide poisoning, smoke, or fire. Never place foil or liners on the oven bottom.
- Stand away from the range when opening the oven door; escaping hot air or steam can cause burns.
- Never place cooking utensils, pizza stones, or foil/liners on the oven floor; they can trap heat or melt, causing damage, shock, smoke, or fire.
- Place oven racks in desired locations while the oven is cool. Handle hot racks with care.
- Do not leave items like paper, utensils, or food in the oven when not in use, as they can ignite.
- Do not leave items on the cooktop near the oven vent; they may overheat and cause fire or burns.
- Never broil with the door open, as this is not advised due to overheating of control knobs.

The range is available in 30" and 36" sizes, each with 5 burners.

Installation Instructions
WARNING: HAVE THIS RANGE INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED INSTALLER. Improper installation, adjustment, alteration, or maintenance can cause injury or property damage. Consult a qualified installer or service agency.
IMPORTANT – SAVE FOR THE LOCAL ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR'S USE.
Before Using Your Electric Range:
- Remove exterior and interior packing.
- Verify you have all parts: 2 Oven Racks, 2 Wall-against mats (do not discard), 1 Anti-tip Bracket (do not discard), 2 Oven door handles, 1 Manual.
- Clean the interior surface with a soft cloth and lukewarm water.
- Have the range installed and properly grounded by a qualified installer per instructions.
- Do not attempt repairs unless recommended in this manual.
- Do not remove permanently affixed labels or warnings; this may void the warranty.
- The installer should leave these instructions with the consumer for inspector's use and future reference.
- Observe all local and national codes and ordinances.
NOTICE: First Use Burn-Off The heating elements have a protective coating that must be burned off. Open the oven door, set the temperature control to 550°F, and turn the function selector to Bake and Broil elements separately for approximately 15 minutes. Ensure adequate ventilation during this period.
IMPORTANT: This range is designed for domestic (household) cooking only and is not suitable for commercial or communal environments. Using it in such environments will void the warranty.
Important Precautions and Recommendations
After unpacking, check for damage and ensure the oven door closes correctly. If in doubt, do not use it and consult your supplier or a qualified technician.
Keep packing materials away from children, as they can cause serious injuries.
Follow specific installation and safety precautions for safe operation.
- Do not modify the appliance's technical characteristics.
- Disconnect the appliance from the power supply before cleaning or maintenance.
- Ensure knobs are in the 'off' or 'standby' position after use.
- Never touch the appliance with wet hands or feet.
- Do not operate the appliance barefoot.
- Do not allow children or incapable people to use the appliance without supervision.
- Certain parts become very hot during and after use; do not touch the cooktop. Keep children away.
- Fire Risk: Do not store flammable materials in the oven or bottom drawer. Do not attempt to dry clothing or textiles in the oven or bottom drawer.
- Ensure electrical cables of nearby appliances do not contact the hob or get trapped in the oven door.
- Do not line oven walls with aluminum foil. Do not place shelves, pans, or trays on the oven base.
- The manufacturer is not liable for injury or damage caused by incorrect or improper use.
- Installation must be performed by qualified personnel only. Repairs by unqualified persons can cause electric shock or short circuits. Do not attempt repairs yourself; use qualified service personnel.
- Burn Hazard: Oven and cooking accessories become very hot. Keep children away and warn them. Use protective clothing and gloves when handling hot parts.
- Stand away from the range when operating the oven door; escaping hot air or steam can cause burns.
- Never clean the oven with high-pressure steam cleaning devices, as this may cause a short circuit.
- Do not leave anything on the oven vent or cover the oven vent opening with aluminum foil or other material.
- This range is intended for household use only.
- Before disposal, make the appliance inoperative according to health and environmental regulations, especially by removing the door to prevent entrapment.
Installation of Electric Range
Dimensions and Clearances:
- Minimum clearance to cabinets on either side: 13 inches.
- Minimum clearance to wall: 2 inches.
- Minimum clearance above cooktop to unprotected wood or metal cabinet: 30 inches.
- Maximum depth for cabinets above countertop: 13 inches (with 1/4" panel forward from cabinet).
- The front edge of the range side panel should extend forward from the cabinet.
- Clearances to countertops below cooktop and at the range back are specified.
Opening Width:
- 30" Model: 30" (762mm)
- 36" Model: 36" (914mm)
Exhaust Hood Installation: The bottom of the hood should be 30" to 36" above the countertop, resulting in the bottom of the hood being 66" to 72" above the floor for safe and efficient operation.
General Installation Requirements:
- The electric range must be installed by a qualified technician. Ensure all necessary items for correct installation are available.
- Cabinet opening dimensions must be used as specified; these are minimum clearances.
- Avoid cabinet storage space directly above surface units to eliminate burn/fire risk. If provided, a range hood projecting at least 5 inches beyond cabinets is recommended.
- Place the range on a floor strong enough to support it. Adjust leveling legs to level the unit.
- Avoid locating the unit in moist areas to prevent electrical shock risk.
Door Handle Installations: The door handle is not pre-installed. Follow these steps:
- Remove the black rubber cap from the inside of the oven door (do not discard).
- Insert a screwdriver into the hole to reach the embedded screw.
- Position the handle holder correctly on the outside of the oven door and tighten the screw.
- Repeat steps 1-3 for the other side.
- Replace the black rubber caps to cover the holes on the inside of the oven door.
Oven Racks Installation
Installation: Hang the rack onto the side rails and push in slowly.
Disassembly: Lift the rack up and pull out slowly until it is free of the side rails.
Electrical
Your range must be electrically grounded according to local codes or the National Electrical Code (ANSI/NFPA 70). In Canada, follow CSA C22.1 Canadian Electrical Code Part 1 and local codes.
The power supply must have the correct polarity. Reverse polarity can cause sparking. If unsure about power supply polarity or grounding, have it checked by a qualified electrician.
Electrical Requirements:

- FFSEL6020-36 (13015W): Grounded, 240 VAC, 60Hz
- Service: 2/C 8AWG+2/C 10AWG
- Receptacle: 4-prong grounding-type
- Power Cord: 3.9' (1.2m)
WARNING: Electrical Grounding Instructions: This range has a four-prong (grounding) plug for shock protection. Plug it directly into a properly grounded four-prong receptacle. Do not cut or remove the grounding pin.
Grounding: The power cord mates with a standard four-prong grounding wall receptacle. Instructions for wall receptacle location and disconnecting power before servicing are included. If a three-prong receptacle is present, the customer must replace it with a properly grounded four-prong receptacle. Do not cut or remove the grounding prong from the power cord.
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD: Disconnect electrical power at the circuit breaker or fuse box before installing. Provide appropriate ground using copper conductors only. Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious injury or death.
Wire Connection:
- Connect L1 receptacle terminal to RED electrical supply wire (L1-hot).
- Connect L2 receptacle terminal to BLACK electrical supply wire (L2-hot).
- Connect NEUTRAL receptacle terminal to WHITE electrical supply wire (NEUTRAL).
- Connect GROUND receptacle terminal to GREEN electrical supply wire (GROUND).
The appliance comes with a 4-wire electric supply cord set (L1, L2, N, Ground) suitable for range use, rated 300V, 40A, with a NEMA 14-50P plug. Cable length is 1.2m. If the cord set needs replacement, use an identical set with the same technical specifications.
Electric Power Supply Requirements: Diagrams show recommended power outlet area dimensions for 30" and 36" models.
Product Dimensions and Cabinets
Model FFSEL6020-30: Diagram shows dimensions: 30" width, 27.3" depth, 38" height, 36" oven door height.
Model FFSEL6020-36: Diagram shows dimensions: 36" width, 27.3" depth, 38" height, 36" oven door height.
This range can be installed adjacent to countertop-height cabinets (36" or 91.5 cm from the floor). For the best look, the cooktop should be level with the cabinet countertop. This can be achieved by adjusting the leveling legs.
Wall-against mat: Diagram shows how to install the wall-against mat by removing two screws in the back of the range and installing the mat instead.
Dimensions A for 30" and 36" models are provided (763mm and 915mm respectively).
Further diagrams show rear and side views with specific measurements for both models, including minimum/maximum clearances for the rear connection area.
Cooktop
Diagrams show the cooktop layouts for the 30" and 36" models, indicating the wattage of each burner:

- Burner 2: 100W
- Burner 3: 1200W
- Burner 4: 3000W
- Burner 5: 3000W
Electric Oven Functions
Various oven functions offer flexible operation for different cooking results.
- CONV. HIGH BAKE: Uses two heat elements and fan for faster heat-up and shorter cooking times, ideal for baking on up to 3 levels. Temperature: 250°F to MAX.
- CONV BAKE: Uses bottom heat element and fan for heat distribution, good for pastries. Temperature: 250°F to MAX. This function provides a uniform heat result, and pre-heating is often not necessary.
- CONV BROIL: Uses two strong top heat elements and fan for even heat distribution, suitable for roasting meat/poultry and browning. Work with temperature at Maximum.
- LOW BAKE: Uses bottom heat elements for baking on one level, suitable for cakes, muffins, pizzas, and delicate egg dishes. Temperature: 250°F to MAX.
- BROIL: Uses two strong top heat elements for direct radiant heat, ideal for broiling large quantities of food faster than normal baking. Temperature: Maximum.
Using the Surface Units
- Use care when touching the cooktop; the glass surface retains heat after controls are off.
- Do not use a broken cooktop; cleaners and spills can penetrate and cause electric shock. Contact a technician immediately.
- Avoid scratching the glass with sharp objects.
- Do not store items that can melt or catch fire on the glass cooktop.
- NEVER cook directly on the glass; always use appropriate cookware.
Cooktop Heating Control Knob: Push in and turn the knob to the desired position for low to high power output. To switch off, turn the knob to the 'off' position. Surface units come in 6" (100W), 9" (1200W), 10" (2200W), and 12" (3000W) sizes. An indicator light shows when an element is energized. The control offers variable power output from MIN to MAX. To switch on, lightly press the knob inwards then turn.
IMPORTANT: To avoid overcooking, remove pots/pans when food is cooked. Avoid placing objects on the cooktop until it has cooled completely.
WARNING: Ensure cookware handles do not stick out over the edge of the range to prevent them from being knocked over and to make them harder for children to reach.
Cookware Tips
- Use cooking vessels with flat bottoms and tight-fitting lids for energy conservation and shorter cooking times.
- Only certain types of glass, glass/ceramic, ceramic, earthenware, or glazed cookware are suitable for glass cooktops. Use low to medium heat with glass cookware.
- Pan size should match the element size for efficient heating and to prevent spillovers.
- Ensure pan bottoms are clean and dry before use to avoid spattering and maximize efficiency.
LED Light Switch & Oven Light
LED Light Switch: Use this switch to turn on the LED lights when the room is dark.
Oven Light: Controlled by a push switch on the control panel. The light can be used during cooking or cleaning. WARNING: Disconnect power from the electrical box before replacing the light bulb. Allow the oven to cool, then unscrew the light cover and bulb. Replace with a 40-watt halogen bulb.
Care & Maintenance
General Recommendation: WARNING: Electrical Shock Hazard. Plug into a grounded 4-prong outlet. Do not remove the ground prong. Do not use an adapter. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, fire, or electrical shock.
Important: Disconnect the appliance from the electrical supply before any cleaning or maintenance. Clean when the appliance is cold, especially enameled parts. Avoid leaving alkaline or acidic substances (lemon juice, vinegar) on surfaces. Avoid cleaning products with chlorine or acidic bases. Clean the oven after every use; operating it at the highest temperature for 30 minutes can eliminate most grime.
Enameled Parts: Clean with a sponge and soapy water or non-abrasive products. Dry with a chamois leather. Acidic substances left on enamel can etch it.
Stainless Steel Elements: Wipe with a wet cloth. For difficult dirt, use a specific non-abrasive product or hot vinegar. High temperatures or frequent use may cause discoloration around the heater.
Inside of Oven: Clean regularly. With the oven warm, wipe inside walls with a cloth soaked in hot soapy water or another suitable product.
Troubleshooting Guide
