Warranty Information

Forno Appliances offers a two (2) year limited warranty from the date of original retail purchase, covering defects in materials and workmanship under ordinary residential use. A 30-Day Cosmetic Warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, including paint blemishes, chips, and macroscopic finish defects, but excludes issues from transport, handling, installation, or minor color variations.

Warranty Exclusions: Commercial use, improper installation, unauthorized repairs, damage from accidents, misuse, abuse, improper storage, external forces (acts of God), or products with altered serial numbers are not covered. Forno is not liable for damage to surrounding property.

How to Receive Service: Contact the Forno Support department for troubleshooting and service procedures. Model number, serial number, and date of original retail purchase will be required.

Installation Instructions

WARNING: Have this range installed by a qualified installer. Improper installation can cause injury or property damage.

Before Using Your Electric Range:

Initial Burn-off: Before first use, burn off the protective coating on the heating elements by setting the temperature to 550°F (288°C) and operating the Bake and Broil elements separately for approximately 15 minutes each. Ensure adequate ventilation during this process.

Notice: This range is intended for domestic household use only.

Important Precautions and Recommendations:

Installation of Electric Range:

Door Handle Installations:

Align the handle with the screw on the door and tighten the hexagon socket screws with a hexagon socket screwdriver.

Oven Racks Installation:

Push the baking rack smoothly all the way into the oven cavity.

Electrical Requirements:

Electrical Grounding Instructions: Plug directly into a properly grounded four-prong receptacle. Do not remove the grounding pin.

Product Dimensions and Cabinets

Model FFSEL6917-30: 30" width, 27.3" depth, 36" height.

Model FFSEL6917-36: 36" width, 27.3" depth, 36" height.

The range can be installed adjacent to countertop-height cabinets. Ensure the cooktop is level with the countertop by adjusting the leveling legs.

Wall-against mat installation: Remove the two screws in the back of the range and install the wall-against mat.

Cabinet Clearances:

Exhaust Hood Installation

The bottom of the hood should be 30" min. to 36" above the countertop, typically resulting in the bottom of the hood being 66" to 72" above the floor for safe and efficient operation.

Using the Surface Units

Cooktop Heating Control Knob: Push in and turn the knob to the desired position (MIN to MAX). Turn to 'UPE' to switch off. Indicator lights show when elements are energized.

Cookware Tips:

Oven Light

The oven light is controlled by a switch on the control panel. Replace the bulb with a 40-watt halogen bulb after disconnecting power and allowing the oven to cool.

Care & Maintenance

General Recommendation: Disconnect the appliance from the electrical supply before cleaning. Clean when cold, especially enameled parts. Avoid acidic or chlorine-based cleaning products.

Troubleshooting Guide

ProblemPossible Cause
Surface units will not maintain a rolling boil or frying rate is not fast enough- Pans must be flat.
- Pan bottoms should closely match the diameter of the surface unit.
Foods cook slowly- Improper cookware used.
Surface units do not operate- Blown household fuse or tripped circuit breaker.
- Surface units not plugged in correctly.
- Control knobs not set correctly.
Control knobs will not turn- For surface unit knobs, ensure you are pushing in before turning.
- For oven knobs, ensure you are turning in the correct direction.
Oven light does not work- Light bulb is loose or defective.
- Switch operating oven light is broken.
Oven does not work- Blown household fuse or tripped circuit breaker.
- Control knobs not set correctly.
Food does not broil properly- Oven control knob not set at Broil.
- Improper rack position used.
- Cookware not suited for broiling.
- Oven thermostat is defective.
Food does not bake properly- Oven control knob not set properly.
- Rack position incorrect.
- Incorrect cookware or cookware of improper size used.
- Oven thermostat is defective.
