Warranty Information
Forno Appliances offers a two (2) year limited warranty from the date of original retail purchase, covering defects in materials and workmanship under ordinary residential use. A 30-Day Cosmetic Warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, including paint blemishes, chips, and macroscopic finish defects, but excludes issues from transport, handling, installation, or minor color variations.
Warranty Exclusions: Commercial use, improper installation, unauthorized repairs, damage from accidents, misuse, abuse, improper storage, external forces (acts of God), or products with altered serial numbers are not covered. Forno is not liable for damage to surrounding property.
How to Receive Service: Contact the Forno Support department for troubleshooting and service procedures. Model number, serial number, and date of original retail purchase will be required.

General Safety Instructions:
- Never use the appliance as a space heater.
- Ensure the range is installed and properly grounded by a qualified installer.
- Do not attempt to repair or replace parts unless recommended in the manual.
- Connect only to a grounded 240-volt outlet. Do not use extension cords.
- Disconnect power before maintenance.
- Remove all packing materials before operation.
- Avoid scratching or impacting glass displays.
- Never leave children unattended near the appliance.
- Do not store items of interest to children above the oven.
- Never block the range vents.
- Use dry pots; moist pots can cause steam burns.

- Do not allow anyone to climb, stand, or hang on the oven door, drawer, or cooktop.
- Keep ventilator hoods and grease filters clean. Turn off the ventilator in case of fire.
- Keep flammable materials away from the range.
- In case of fire, do not use water on grease fires. Smother flames with a lid or use a dry chemical/foam extinguisher.
Cooktop Safety Instructions:
- Never leave surface heaters unattended at medium or high heat.
- Never leave oil unattended while frying.
- Use the proper size pot to avoid instability.
- Ensure glass/ceramic cookware is suitable for cooktop use.
- Turn cookware handles toward the center of the range.
- Do not cover heater or stove with aluminum foil.
Oven Safety Instructions:
- Never cover oven slots, holes, or passages with aluminum foil or liners.
- Stand away from the range when opening the oven door to avoid burns from escaping hot air or steam.
- Never place utensils, stones, foil, or liners on the oven floor.
- Place oven racks in desired locations while the oven is cool.
- Do not leave items like paper or food in the oven when not in use.
- Do not leave items on the cooktop near the oven vent.
- Never broil with the door open.

Installation Instructions
WARNING: Have this range installed by a qualified installer. Improper installation can cause injury or property damage.
Before Using Your Electric Range:
- Remove all packing materials.
- Verify all parts are present (2 Oven Racks, 2 Wall-against mats, 1 Anti-tip Bracket, 2 Oven door handles, 1 Manual).
- Clean the interior with lukewarm water and a soft cloth.
- Ensure the range is installed and properly grounded.
- The installer should leave instructions with the consumer for local inspector use and future reference.
- Observe all local and national codes and ordinances.
Initial Burn-off: Before first use, burn off the protective coating on the heating elements by setting the temperature to 550°F (288°C) and operating the Bake and Broil elements separately for approximately 15 minutes each. Ensure adequate ventilation during this process.
Notice: This range is intended for domestic household use only.
Important Precautions and Recommendations:
- Check for damage after unpacking.
- Keep packing elements away from children.
- Do not modify the appliance's technical characteristics.
- Disconnect power before cleaning or maintenance.
- Ensure knobs are in the '1' or 'standby' position after use.
- Do not touch the appliance with wet hands or feet.

- Fire Risk: Do not store flammable materials in the oven or bottom drawer. Do not dry clothing in the oven.

- Do not line oven walls with aluminum foil or place items on the oven base.
- Manufacturer declines liability for injury or damage due to incorrect use.
- Burn Hazard: Oven and accessories become hot. Use protective gloves.
- Stand away from the range when opening the oven door.
- Do not use high-pressure steam cleaning devices.
- Do not cover the oven vent opening.
- If discontinuing use, make the appliance inoperative according to health and environmental regulations. Remove the door before disposal.
Installation of Electric Range:
- Install by a qualified technician.
- Maintain specified installation clearances. Minimum 30 inches clearance between the cooking surface and unprotected cabinets above.
- Avoid cabinet storage directly above surface units to reduce fire risk.
- Place the range on a strong floor and adjust leveling legs.
- Avoid locating the unit in moist areas.
Door Handle Installations:
Align the handle with the screw on the door and tighten the hexagon socket screws with a hexagon socket screwdriver.
Oven Racks Installation:
Push the baking rack smoothly all the way into the oven cavity.
Electrical Requirements:
- Grounded, 240 VAC, 60Hz.
- Service: 2/C 8AWG+2/C 10AWG.
- Receptacle: 4-prong grounding-type.
- Power Cord: 3.9' (1.2 m).
Electrical Grounding Instructions: Plug directly into a properly grounded four-prong receptacle. Do not remove the grounding pin.
Product Dimensions and Cabinets
Model FFSEL6917-30: 30" width, 27.3" depth, 36" height.
Model FFSEL6917-36: 36" width, 27.3" depth, 36" height.
The range can be installed adjacent to countertop-height cabinets. Ensure the cooktop is level with the countertop by adjusting the leveling legs.
Wall-against mat installation: Remove the two screws in the back of the range and install the wall-against mat.
Cabinet Clearances:
- Minimum to cabinets on either sides of the range: 30" (Model FFSEL6917-30), 36" (Model FFSEL6917-36).
- Maximum depth for cabinets above countertop: 13".
Exhaust Hood Installation
The bottom of the hood should be 30" min. to 36" above the countertop, typically resulting in the bottom of the hood being 66" to 72" above the floor for safe and efficient operation.
Cooktop Burner Specifications:
- Model FFSEL6917-30: Four burners (6" - 1200W, 6" - 1200W, 8" - 2200W, 8" - 3000W).
- Model FFSEL6917-36: Five burners (6" - 1200W, 6" - 1200W, 6" - 100W, 8" - 2200W, 8" - 3000W).
Electric Oven Functions
The range offers various oven functions for flexible cooking:
- CONV. HIGH BAKE: Top and bottom elements with fan for faster heating and even cooking on up to 3 levels.
- CONV BAKE: Bottom element with fan for even heat distribution, ideal for baking pastries.
- CONV BROIL: Top elements with fan for faster cooking and browning, suitable for roasting large meats.
- LOW BAKE: Bottom element for baking on one level, suitable for cakes, muffins, pizzas.
- BROIL: Top elements provide direct radiant heat for broiling large quantities of food quickly.
Using the Surface Units
- The glass cooktop retains heat after controls are turned off.
- Do not use the cooktop if the glass is broken.
- Avoid scratching the glass surface.
- Do not store items that can melt or ignite on the cooktop.
- Always use appropriate cookware.
Cooktop Heating Control Knob: Push in and turn the knob to the desired position (MIN to MAX). Turn to 'UPE' to switch off. Indicator lights show when elements are energized.
Cookware Tips:
- Use flat-bottomed pots with tight-fitting lids.
- Use cookware suitable for glass cooktops.
- Pan size should match the element size.
- Ensure pan bottoms are clean and dry.
- Turn cookware handles toward the center to avoid knocking them over.
Oven Light
The oven light is controlled by a switch on the control panel. Replace the bulb with a 40-watt halogen bulb after disconnecting power and allowing the oven to cool.
Care & Maintenance
General Recommendation: Disconnect the appliance from the electrical supply before cleaning. Clean when cold, especially enameled parts. Avoid acidic or chlorine-based cleaning products.
- Enameled Parts: Clean with soapy water or non-abrasive products. Dry with a chamois leather. Avoid prolonged contact with acidic substances.
- Stainless Steel Elements: Wipe with a wet cloth. Use specific non-abrasive products for difficult dirt. High temperatures may cause discoloration.
- Inside of Oven: Clean regularly. Wipe with a cloth soaked in hot soapy water while the oven is warm.
