Product Description (Fig.A)

Accessories Drawer (29)

The machine provides storage for unused accessories, so they are always available to the user.

Filters

This machine includes four filters: two non-pressurized and two pressurized.

Non-pressurized filters (31a, 31b)

These filters allow experimentation with various grinding degrees, dosing, and tamping to create a perfectly balanced espresso.

Pressurized filters (30a, 30b)

These filters facilitate and regulate pressure even when grinding and dosing are not perfect.

Select the filter for one or two cups as needed.

When using non-pressurized filters and switching from a single to a double filter or vice versa, it may be necessary to prepare some coffee before achieving the ideal grind and correct dose for the pre-set beverage. For example, when selecting a very fine grind with non-pressurized filters, it may be necessary to increase the amount of ground coffee to ensure the correct dose in the filter.

The machine is pre-set to prepare coffee using non-pressurized filters at a medium FINO segment level. Depending on your preference and taste, adjust the grind fineness by rotating the bean hopper clockwise or counter-clockwise.

Dispensing Unit Cleaning Disc (32)

Silicone disc used for cleaning the dispensing unit.

Cleaning Brush (33)

Used for cleaning the conical grinders (18).

Steam Wand / Filter Hole Cleaning Needles

Consists of two needles of different thicknesses: one for cleaning the steam wand orifice (34a) and the other for cleaning the coffee filter orifices (34b).

Water Hardness Test Strip (17)

Use the provided strip to measure water hardness as indicated in "Machine Settings - Water Hardness".

Milk Container (28)

Buttons (13) and (14) flashing in sequence:

The machine is reaching the correct temperature for coffee dispensing. Wait until both buttons are steadily lit before selecting the desired beverage.

Before First Use (Fig. A and B)

Operation

Preparing Espresso (Fig.A, B, C, D)

For optimal coffee tasting, preheating the cup is recommended, either by rinsing it with hot water or dispensing hot water into the cup via the wand (22).

Whenever the machine is turned on, it is recommended to flush the infusion unit (21) and portafilter (20) circuits by dispensing a double coffee without coffee in the filter.

Dispensing Steam and Preparing Cappuccino (Fig.A and E)

The result of the milk foam can be influenced by the type of milk used and the user's dexterity. For a good cappuccino, it is recommended to use semi-skimmed or whole milk at refrigerator temperature (approx. 5°C).

For good conservation of the exterior surfaces, clean them regularly after each use, after allowing them to cool down. Clean with a soft, damp cloth.

General Cleaning (Fig.A)

To ensure the proper functioning of the machine and the quality of the beverage, some simple daily cleaning operations are recommended, such as cleaning the portafilter (20) and its internal filter, the drip tray (24), and the grounds collection drawer (25). Regular cleaning of specific machine components, such as the water tank (7) and the bean hopper (3), is also recommended.

Only the cup (26) and containers (28) can be washed in the dishwasher.

Cleaning the Portafilter (20) and Filters

Cleaning the Drip Tray (24) and Grounds Collection Drawer (25)

The drip tray (24) has a red float (27) that protrudes from the cup support grid as soon as the maximum liquid level is exceeded.

Descaling (Fig.B-I)

Before performing the descaling cycle, remove any water softener filters from inside the tank (7).

It is necessary to remain near the machine throughout the descaling cycle, as user intervention may be required, such as refilling the tank.

The total duration of the descaling and rinsing cycle is approximately 40 minutes.

The coffee machine signals when a descaling cycle is necessary based on the set water hardness (to set water hardness, see the "Set Water Hardness" section). If button (14) lights up solid orange, a descaling cycle must be performed to avoid altering the coffee flavor and damaging the machine. However, coffee, steam/hot water can still be dispensed.

Proceed as follows to perform the descaling cycle:

During the descaling cycle, the machine will pause several times to allow the descaler to work effectively. Wait for the cycle to finish.

Personal Injury Hazard.
