Introduction

Welcome to the Quick Start Guide for the Eview GPS Personal Mobile Alarm Device. This guide will help you set up and use your device efficiently.

The device supports multiple locating technologies: Cellular ?, GPS/Glonass ?️, WIFI ?, and BLE ?.

Getting to Know Your Device

Front View

The front of the device features:

  • A lanyard hole at the top for attachment.
  • A prominent SOS button in the center.
  • A microphone at the bottom.

Side View

The side of the device includes:

  • Buttons for adjusting volume (+/-) and making calls.
  • Indicator lights:
    • Cellular signal indicator (Green)
    • Positioning indicator (Blue)
    • Power indicator (Red)
  • Silent mode button.

Back View

The back of the device contains:

  • Loudspeaker ?.
  • Screw holes for accessing the internal components.
  • Charging contacts for connecting to the charging base or cable.

Bottom View

The bottom of the device has a USB port for charging ?.

Charging Base

Front View

The charging base front has:

  • Charging contacts to align with the device.
  • Buttons: Call 1 button, SOS button, Voice on/off button.

Back View

The charging base back has a loudspeaker ?.

SIM Card Installation

The SIM card is not included. A Nano SIM card is required and can be obtained from your local operator.

Steps:

  1. Unscrew the back cover and remove it.
  2. Insert the Nano SIM card and ensure it is activated with credits.
  3. Replace the cover and tighten the screws.

TIP ?: Before installing, check if the SIM card has a PIN code. If so, use a cell-phone to remove the PIN code.

Charging Your Device

There are two ways to charge your device:

4.1 Charging by Magnetic USB Cable

  • Align the magnetic USB cable with the device's charging contacts.
  • The power indicator (red light) will blink during charging and turn solid when fully charged.

4.2 Charging by Charging Base

  • Place the device onto the charging base.
  • Connect the USB cable from the charging base to an AC adapter.

The charging base light will glow during charging and turn solid when fully charged.

TIP ?: For the first use, charge the battery for approximately 2-3 hours.

TIP ?: The charging base has a 2000mAh backup battery for charging on the go.

TIP ?: When battery level drops below 20%, a low battery warning will be sent to your contact list via text message or APP.

Switching On and Off Device

To Turn On:

Press the CALL button for 1 second. All LEDs will flash rapidly. The device can also turn on automatically when charging or placed in the docking station.

To Turn Off:

Press and hold the side button and SOS button together for 3 seconds until the LEDs turn off.

Activating an SOS Alarm

When you need help, press the SOS button ? for 3-4 seconds until you hear a voice prompt. This initiates sending an "help me!" text message and outgoing calls to your emergency contacts.

  • If the first number fails, it will call the second after a 10-second delay, and so on for subsequent numbers.
  • Between calls, there is a 10-second delay during which the call sequence can be stopped by pressing the SOS button. Call receivers can also stop the sequence by pressing '1' during two-way talk.
  • Use the side buttons (+/-) to adjust sound volume during a call.

TIP ?: Program emergency contact numbers. A minimum of one number must be set.

TIP ?: Be patient during the call sequence, as there might be short delays for calls to reach phones out of range or voicemail.

Getting a GPS Fix

For an initial GPS fix ?️, use the device outdoors or near a window to connect with satellites. This may take a few minutes depending on your environment.

Fall Down Alarm

The device detects a fall and automatically sends an alarm to emergency contacts.

Note: Daily activities (like sports or sitting on a coach) might occasionally trigger a false alarm. Users can manually cancel the fall alert by pressing the SOS button ? during its beeping.

Very Important ⚠️: Although rare, non-detected falls can occur. It is strongly recommended to press the SOS button manually in any emergency situation.

Making a Phone Call

To Make a Call:

Press the side CALL button for 3 seconds. You will hear a beep, and the device will dial the designated number.

To End a Call:

Press the SOS button ?.

Silent Mode Button

Double-click the silent mode button to turn off voice warnings. Double-click again to turn them back on.

To pair the device with the charging base via Bluetooth ?: Press and hold the side button for 3 seconds, and simultaneously press the CALL2 button on the charging base.
