Notes
- All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25°C of ambient temperature.
- Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1 µF & 47 µF parallel capacitor.
- Tolerance: includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- The power supply is considered a component which will be installed into a final equipment. The final equipment must be re-confirmed that it still meets EMC directives. For guidance on how to perform these EMC tests, please refer to "EMI testing of component power supplies." (as available on https://www.meanwell.com//Upload/PDF/EMI_statement_en.pdf)
- Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.
- The ambient temperature derating of 3.5°C/1000m with fanless models and of 5°C/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).

Block Diagram
A block diagram illustrating the internal components and signal flow of the MDR-60 power supply. It shows the input stage with EMI filter, followed by rectifiers and filter, then power switching, and finally output rectifiers and filter. A detection circuit monitors output voltage and controls the power switching. The DC OK signal is generated from the detection circuit. The diagram also shows connections for AC input (L, N, FG), DC output (+V, -V), and the DC OK relay contact.

DC OK Relay Contact
Description of the DC OK relay contact states:
- Contact Close: PSU turns on / DC OK.
- Contact Open: PSU turns off / DC Fail.
- Contact Ratings (max.): 30V/1A resistive load.
Derating Curve (Ambient Temperature)
A graph showing the load percentage versus ambient temperature for the MDR-60 series power supply. The curve indicates that the power supply can operate at 100% load up to approximately 50°C, after which derating is required. For 5V models, the derating starts earlier. The curve is shown for 115VAC and 230VAC input.
Key Information:
- X-axis: Ambient Temperature (°C)
- Y-axis: Load (%)
- Derating required above approximately 50°C.
Output Derating VS Input Voltage
A graph illustrating the load percentage versus input voltage (VAC) for the MDR-60 series power supply. The graph shows that the power supply can operate at 100% load across the universal input voltage range (85-264VAC).
Key Information:
- X-axis: Input Voltage (VAC) 60Hz
- Y-axis: Load (%)
- Full load operation across the specified input voltage range.
