8198 IP PoE+ CEILING SPEAKER

Reduce costs and simplify ceiling speaker deployments with satellite speaker technology

The Algo 8198 IP PoE+ Ceiling Speaker adds flexibility to paging system deployments, offering the option to be used as a homerun IP speaker or in combination with satellite speakers. Up to three satellite speakers can be connected to the 8198 to reduce cabling, ports, and licensing costs, while simplifying the installation process.

Expand Audio Coverage at Reduced Costs

Using the Algo 8198 IP PoE+ Ceiling Speaker with Algo 1198 Satellite Ceiling Speakers provides a cost-efficient method to connect and supervise multiple speakers. This reduces the number of required network ports and cable drops, as only one network drop is needed per group of speakers, thereby lowering labor costs.

Power and Supervise Up to 3 Satellite Speakers

The Algo 8198 IP PoE+ Ceiling Speaker can function as a homerun IP speaker or in conjunction with satellite speakers. Satellite speakers can be connected via Ethernet patch cable up to 50 feet (15m) in a daisy-chain configuration. This setup is ideal for environments like hallways or classrooms where speakers are clustered. The 8198 host speaker distributes 16 W of power equally among the connected satellite speakers and utilizes its built-in features, such as ambient noise detection, to manage them.

Simplify Speaker Installation

Reduced cabling leads to faster installation. When satellite speakers are connected to the Algo 8198 IP PoE+ Ceiling Speaker, the system automatically detects the connection status of each satellite speaker and continuously monitors its activity.
