8036 SIP Multimedia Intercom QuickStart Guide

This guide outlines the essential steps to get your 8036 SIP Multimedia Intercom up and running.

Step 1: Network Setup

  1. Set up a SIP account on your server to enable the 8036 to receive calls. Consult your network administrator if needed.
  2. Connect your 8036 to your PoE network. The device's Welcome screen will appear after a few seconds.

The Welcome screen displays the device's IP address, for example, 192.168.0.120. Open a web browser on your PC and navigate to this IP address to access the 8036 Control Panel.

Log in using the default password, which is "algo".

Once logged in, navigate to Settings > SIP. Enter your SIP account details, including the SIP domain, User (Extension), and Authentication password.

Step 2: Create a User Interface Page

  1. Navigate to User Interface > Create Pages.
  2. Configure the number of pages to be created (default is 1) and select the 'Page Type' as 'button'.
  3. Click Add Page(s).

Step 3: Configure User Interface Page

  1. Scroll to the 'List Pages' section and click on 'Page 1' to expand its settings.
  2. Configure the settings as follows:
    • Page Description: Enter a description for the page.
    • Background Image: Select a background image (e.g., default1-sky-clouds.i).
    • Button Configuration: Choose 'Single Button'.
    • Button 1: Enable the button.
    • Text: Enter the text to display on the button (e.g., 'Make a Call').
    • Action Type: Select 'Call'.
    • Dialing Extension: Enter the extension number you want the 8036 to dial when the button is pressed (e.g., 1234).
  3. Click Save All Pages. The 8036 UI will restart.

After the restart, the 8036 will display your newly created User Interface screen with the configured button.

Touch the button to initiate your first phone call.

Experiment with adding more pages, different layouts, and various button actions (like 'Goto' actions to a Dialer page) to create a UI that best suits your application.
