Battery Details and Maintenance
Battery Details
The INKBIRD INT-14-BW includes four food probes and a base unit that extends Bluetooth range (acting as a repeater), emits alarms, and charges the probes. A fully charged probe can last 25 hours of continuous cooking. The base unit has a built-in 3500 mAh high-capacity lithium battery. With screen brightness at 30% and 4 hours of daily probe charging, the base can last up to 20 days.
Battery Charging Procedures
- Probe:
- Place the probe in its charging position on the base.
- The charging icon for the corresponding probe will blink and stay solid once fully charged.
- Base:
- Use the provided charging cable. Full charge takes approximately 3.5 hours.
- During charging, the base indicator light will blink green rhythmically and remain solid when fully charged.
- If using a different cable, ensure it is Type-C and provides 5V 2A.
Usage and Maintenance
- Do not use probes in environments outside the specified temperature range (ambient: below -10°C/14°F or above 300°C/572°F), as this may reduce battery life or damage the probe.
- After cleaning probes, ensure they are dry before placing them on the base to prevent damage from rust or water ingress.
- The base is not waterproof. Do not rinse or immerse it in water. Clean with a slightly damp cloth.
- For storage, place probes inside the charging base and keep the unit in a shaded, cool place away from children. Improper storage can cause damage.
- If the device battery is low, temperature readings may be inaccurate, indicators/buzzer may deactivate, or the device may disconnect from the smartphone. Charge promptly. Use only 5V 2A Type-C cables.
- Ensure the base is not placed on a hot stove, oven, or BBQ. Do not place it inside an oven or BBQ to avoid damage or injury.

- This product is not suitable for microwave ovens or pressure cookers. Ensure probes are inserted into the center of the food, beyond the safe cooking line, and avoid bones.
- The base acts as a Bluetooth signal repeater. Position it close to the probes. If not possible, ensure the distance between the base and probes does not exceed 6 meters and there are no metallic obstacles.
- If cooking temperature exceeds the specified range, do not use the probe or stop immediately and let it cool.
- Do not expose probes directly to fire or hot coals. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures can damage the probe.
- Keep the base away from fire and heat sources. Do not expose it to direct sunlight or attach it magnetically to ovens or grills. Do not place the base inside an oven or grill.
- After cooking, do not touch hot probes immediately. Wait for them to cool. Use heat-resistant tools if necessary.
