MOGA XP5-A PLUS BLUETOOTH CONTROLLER
Your guide to enhanced gaming with the MOGA XP5-A PLUS controller.
Setup and Operation
For optimal results, fully charge the controller and power bank before first use.
Charging Controller + Power Bank
Use the included 6.6 ft. (2 m) USB Cable. Connect the Micro-USB end to the lower port at the top of the controller and the Standard USB end to any powered USB source.
During charging, four LEDs will indicate the charging level (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%).
Charge Level Indicator
Check the battery charge level by pressing the [Battery Status Button] located on the front lower left of the controller. The LEDs will show the current charge level (25-100%) even when the controller is off.
Wireless Mode
Move the Wireless/Wired switch on the front center of the controller to [BT Icon] to enable Bluetooth wireless mode.
- If the controller is off, press the [MENU Button] to turn it on (the LED will illuminate).
- Press and hold the [Bluetooth Sync Button] on the top of the controller for 2 seconds to enter pairing mode (the LED will flash rapidly).
- On your device, navigate to Bluetooth settings and select the MOGA controller. The pairing LED will turn solid when connected.
Note: Previously paired devices will automatically connect when the controller is powered on.
Powering Off
Hold the [MENU Button] for 5 seconds to turn off the controller and conserve battery.
Wired Mode
Move the Wireless/Wired switch on the front center of the controller to [USB Icon] to enable wired mode.
- Connect the Micro-USB end of the 11.8" (30 cm) or 6.5ft (2 m) cable to the lower port at the top of the controller, and connect the other end to your gaming device.
- Your gaming device's input ports (Standard USB, Micro-USB, USB-C) will determine the appropriate cable length.
- This MOGA controller supports DirectInput by default and also XInput mode. If the initial wired connection fails, switch modes by pressing Start + Select simultaneously for three seconds. Three LED flashes confirm the mode change.
Gaming Clip
A detachable gaming clip is included for mobile gaming. USB cables can be used with the clip attached for charging or wired mode.
- Slide the MOGA Controller into the gaming clip by tipping the top edge in first.
- Push the controller's bottom edge down into the clip until it locks into the notch on the front edge.
- To insert your phone, push the top edge of the phone against the top of the phone grip to expand it.
- Push the bottom of the phone down flat into place as you reach the top limit of the phone grip.
- Adjust the phone horizontally to center it over the controller and set the viewing angle.
- Open the kickstand on the clip when setting the controller down between sessions to prevent tipping.
- Remove the clip by pulling the front edge forward to release it from the notch.
Integrated Power Bank
The controller features a built-in power bank to charge your phone during gameplay or when the controller is off.
- Connect the Standard USB end of the 11.8" (30 cm) cable to the upper port on the controller and the other end to your mobile device.
- During gameplay, move the Power Bank switch (located below the right thumbstick) to the right (ON) to start charging. To prioritize controller usage time over phone charging, move the switch to the left (OFF).
- To charge a mobile device when the controller is not in use, simply connect the cable between the controller and device (the Power Bank switch must be ON).
- Your mobile device will show the charge status. If charging doesn't begin, the power bank battery may be too low; recharge the controller.
- The available charge for your phone depends on the controller's remaining battery capacity.
