With a RAID 5 configuration and Link Aggregation enabled on 10GbE, it achieves sequential throughput of 4937 Mbps and 556,727 IOPS. Virtualization Support

Scalability

The RS3617xs+ allows for capacity expansion as your business grows. A single volume can be expanded up to 108TB (default) or 200TB (with 32GB+ RAM) in hot-swap mode. It supports up to 36 drives (HDD or SSD), offering flexible storage capacity and balanced performance. The storage capacity can be easily expanded by connecting two Synology RX1217/RX1217RP expansion units using dedicated data transfer cables for maximum throughput between the main server and expansion units. The 'multiple volumes on RAID' feature allows for more than one volume within a RAID structure, providing flexible storage management. Volumes can be expanded without interruption.
