Before You Start
Read all warnings and instructions below thoroughly BEFORE beginning.
- You will need a 2.4GHz router.
- Have your Wi-Fi password available.
- Have a drill with a 5/32" bit, screwdriver, and ladder (optional).
- Have your mobile device connected to your Wi-Fi network (not cellular).
- Have Bluetooth® enabled on your mobile device.

Let's Get Set Up
Download the myQ App:
- On your mobile device, follow the in-app instructions to set up the Smart Garage Control.
Available on the App Store and Google Play.
When You Are Set Up
Attach the Warning Placard:
- Attach the warning placard to the wall next to the door control.

⚠️ To reduce the risk of SEVERE INJURY to persons:
- DO NOT enable the Chamberlain® Smart Garage™ Control if operating either one-piece or swinging doors. Enable this device with sectional doors ONLY.
- If using the Smart Garage Control with residential door openers, the Control must be used only with door openers manufactured after 1993 that use photoelectric sensors located near the bottom of the door track.
