Ecosystem
Choose the gateway and the TRÅDFRI app to build an interconnected system for controlling lights, sound, and other home products.

The TRÅDFRI gateway and the IKEA Home smart app are key tools for building a smart ecosystem. They enable you to quickly and easily create an ecosystem of smart functions and control them intuitively. You can start with any number of connected products and add up to 50 units to the gateway as your system expands.
Standalone
Choose the TRÅDFRI remote control and smart light sources for extra functions and control with minimal setup.

If you prefer standalone products that are not interconnected or connected to the internet, opt for the TRÅDFRI remote control and smart light sources. The remote control allows you to turn off, turn on, dim, and change the light colour of up to 10 light sources simultaneously.

Adapt the lighting for all activities
Home activities are enhanced by lighting. Adapt lighting for cooking, homework, cleaning, watching TV, cosy evenings, or parties. Adjust brightness and colour, turn lights on/off, and shift from cool to warm light.

Use 'Scenes' in the IKEA Home smart app to group actions across multiple devices. For example, create a scene with warm lights, drawn blinds, and soothing sounds for dinner, or a scene for workouts with brighter lighting and music. You can also assign your favourite Scene to a shortcut button for quick physical access.
Enjoy daylight and privacy
Waking up to daylight is pleasant and healthy. In the evening, enjoy privacy by setting blinds to roll up and down at specific times or control them remotely from bed.

What do the symbols mean?
All IKEA Home smart products are wireless. These symbols help explain their functionality:
- Wireless: Basic wireless functionality.
- Wireless dimming*: Light sources can be dimmed wirelessly.
- Warm white: Light sources provide warm white light, similar to traditional incandescent bulbs.
- Warm glow: Light sources provide a warm and decorative light.
- White spectrum: Light sources can adjust from warm to cold white light in three steps.
- Colour and white spectrum: Light sources can change colour and adjust from warm to cold white light.
- IKEA Home smart app: Download from Google Play or App Store to connect IKEA Smart lighting products to the TRÅDFRI gateway. Works with Android (KitKat 4.4+) or iOS 9+.
- Works with IKEA Home smart: These products are compatible with the IKEA Home smart app and TRÅDFRI gateway.
TRÅDFRI gateway and IKEA Home smart app enable voice control for IKEA Home smart products with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, or Google Assistant.

SYMFONISK Range
Control each speaker individually, play music in one room while children listen to an audiobook in another, or play the same sound throughout the home. SYMFONISK speakers work with all Sonos speakers. The SYMFONISK sound remote allows play/pause and volume control. Use requires the TRÅDFRI gateway. WiFi speakers are controlled via the Sonos app.

Simple, seamless control
Control music and sound via the Sonos app, music service apps (Spotify, Tidal), AirPlay 2 on iOS, or touch controls on the speaker. Voice control is also available by pairing with Alexa-enabled devices (Echo Dot), Google Assistant-enabled devices (Google Home), or Sonos products with built-in voice assistants (Sonos One, Beam).

Creating a stereo pair
Group two identical SYMFONISK speakers in the same room for a wider stereo experience, with one speaker serving the left channel and the other the right.
For optimal stereo sound, place SYMFONISK speakers approximately 2.5 to 3 meters (8 to 10 feet) apart.

Home theatre system
Pair two speakers, such as SYMFONISK table lamp speakers, with a Sonos home theatre product for left and right surround channels. Ensure speakers are identical; SYMFONISK table lamps and bookshelf speakers cannot be combined as surround speakers.

Tune your room with Trueplay
Trueplay tuning analyzes room size, layout, decor, and speaker placement to optimize sound quality. It adjusts how each woofer and tweeter produces sound in that specific room (works on mobile devices running iOS 8 or later*).
*iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch is needed to set up Trueplay.
