One System for Different Lighting Needs

The SKENINGE track system offers a flexible and customizable lighting solution for any room. It allows users to combine tracks and spotlights as desired, in straight lines or at angles, to create ambient, work, or accent lighting. The system is versatile enough for homes, offices, stores, and restaurants.

How to Choose

1. Create your own lighting system

   Plan where you need light and how much. You can connect multiple tracks and spotlights. Remember that different ceiling materials require specific hardware. Always use screws appropriate for your home's ceiling.

2. Connect to the power supply

   The track system must be installed in the ceiling. Electrical installation may require an authorized contractor depending on local regulations.

3. Add tracks, choose quantity and length

   Tracks can be connected in a straight line or at an angle. They are 39" long but can be cut to fit. Use a straight connector for straight lines or an angled connector (up to 110°) to continue the lighting around corners. This allows for extensive customization.

4. Mix spotlights

   SKENINGE spotlights are available in 2¾" and 3¾" sizes. Use LED bulbs with narrow beams for details or wide beams for larger areas. The flexible joint on spotlights allows easy adjustment of light direction and position on the track.

5. Combine with your favorite pendant lamp

   Use the pendant connector to attach most IKEA pendant lamps to the track system. This enables mixing spotlights and pendant lamps for customized lighting. Groups of lights can be connected to different switches (max 3) for independent control.

Combinations

The SKENINGE track system is suitable for various activities and rooms. In smaller spaces like hallways, it can provide all necessary lighting. In living rooms, it can highlight pictures or bookshelves. For specific activities like dining or reading, it can be combined with pendant lamps.

Hallway/Dressing Room Combination

With three SKENINGE spotlights, easily find items like coats, shoes, and hats. One spotlight can illuminate the wardrobe, another the shoe rack, and a third can provide general hallway light. Wide beam angle bulbs are recommended for easy outerwear dressing.

Create a comfortable reading nook and highlight artwork. This setup requires minimal installation, using the SKENINGE track and spotlights. Direct light onto a bookshelf for easy book finding or onto an armchair for reading. The system can also illuminate wall pictures.

The living room serves many purposes, requiring versatile lighting. Illuminate storage areas and the sofa space. A pendant lamp over the coffee table enhances the room's ambiance. The three-phase SKENINGE system allows independent control of different light groups.
