Stäubli in China: A Century-Old Multinational Group Rooted in China

In 1997, Stäubli Group established its first industrial manufacturing base outside Europe – Stäubli (Hangzhou) Precision Mechanical & Electronic Co., Ltd. Headquartered in Hangzhou, China, with offices in 10 cities nationwide, it is dedicated to the production, sales, service, design, and R&D of industrial and mechatronic solutions.

After more than twenty years of diligent management and pioneering efforts, Stäubli has grown into a high-tech enterprise providing all Stäubli products, innovative technologies, and comprehensive services to the Chinese market.

Adhering to the group's consistent excellent tradition and professional spirit, we relentlessly improve product quality, efficiency, and safety, focusing on close cooperation with partners to meet the growing demand for high-tech equipment and solutions across industries.

As the only subsidiary within the group to achieve localized manufacturing for all four business units – Electrical Connectors, Fluid Connectors, Robotics, and Textile Machinery – Stäubli is accelerating its localization strategy in China, encompassing management, R&D, production, supply, and talent, continuously bringing more solutions and services tailored to the Chinese market.

The new Yin Hai Park R&D and Smart Manufacturing Base, completed in 2023 by Stäubli (Hangzhou) Company, is also located in Hangzhou Qiantang District, adjacent to the existing Xiang Long Park, to meet the growing demand for high-end manufacturing equipment and automation solutions in China and other Asia-Pacific markets.

In the 1990s, with the gradual deepening of reform and opening up, China's economy developed rapidly. Stäubli Group, with its keen insight, focused on the Chinese market. China is the world's largest producer of textiles and apparel. Currently, nearly 200,000 Stäubli textile machines are in operation in weaving mills across China. Key Machines Manufactured by Stäubli (Hangzhou)

• S1628 Cam Motion Jacquard Machines: Equipped with 8 heald frames and various cam profiles for different weft patterns to achieve optimal weaving quality, suitable for air-jet and rapier looms.
• S3008 and S3018 Electronic Rotary Multi-Phase Machines: Operating on the Stäubli rotary principle, the heald frames run reliably without backlash even under high load and speed, suitable for weaving small patterned fabrics. Can be installed on air-jet and rapier looms.
• S3017 and S3018de82 High-Speed Water Jet Multi-Phase Machines: As high-performance multi-phase combinations for water-jet weaving, the S3017 and S3018de82 rotary multi-phase machines meet diverse domestic market demands for high speed, low energy consumption, low loss, and low noise electronic multi-phase machines. They are ideal for weaving high-end synthetic fabrics with complex patterns.
• SX PRO / LX PRO Jacquard Machines: Applicable to various fabric types, with up to 12,288 hooks. Combined with the NOEMI electronic architecture and low-friction components, they optimize shedding reliability and significantly reduce energy consumption.
