Power Precautions:
- Do not overload outlets or extension cords.
- Place power cords to avoid being walked on or pinched.
- Never insert metallic objects into open parts.
- Never touch the inside of the apparatus; only qualified technicians should open it.
- Ensure the power cord is firmly seated; pull by the plug, not the cord, when unplugging. Do not touch with wet hands.
- If the apparatus operates abnormally (unusual sounds or smells), unplug immediately and contact a Samsung service center.
- Unplug from the wall outlet during lightning storms or long periods of non-use.
- Use a properly grounded plug and wall outlet.
- To turn off completely, disconnect from the wall outlet; ensure the outlet and plug are accessible.
Installation Precautions:
- Do not place near radiators, heat registers, or in direct sunlight.
- Do not place water-filled vessels on the apparatus.
- Do not expose to rain or moisture.
- Contact an authorized Samsung service center for information on installing in locations with heavy dust, extreme temperatures, high humidity, or continuous operation (e.g., airports, train stations).
- Do not expose to dripping or splashing.
Ventilation:
Leave adequate space around the product for ventilation to prevent overheating and potential fire hazards. Maintain recommended clearances (e.g., 10 cm on sides, 10 cm top, 10 cm back, 120 cm front for viewing, 100 cm front for viewing).
- When installing with a stand, use only Samsung-provided parts.
- Never place the TV on cloth or materials between the TV and furniture.
- Keep toys and remote controls away from the top of the TV or furniture to prevent children from climbing.
- When relocating or lifting the TV, do not pull out the stand.
Precautions for Moving The Sero:
- Lift the product upright by two persons only in portrait mode.
- Never move the product in landscape mode.
- Be careful not to hurt hands or feet if the product falls.
- Do not hold the screen display while lifting.
- Do not lift the product alone.
- Never move the product by dragging it.
Operation Precautions:
- Dispose of batteries according to local environmental regulations.
- Store accessories out of reach of children.
- Do not drop or strike the product. If damaged, unplug and contact a service center.
- Do not dispose of remote control or batteries in fire.
- Do not short-circuit, disassemble, or overheat batteries.
- CAUTION: Risk of explosion if batteries are replaced with the wrong type. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
- WARNING: Keep candles and open flames away from the product to prevent fire spread.
Safety Precautions for Stability:
- Use the provided stand on a flat surface.
- Caution: Pulling, pushing, or climbing on the TV may cause it to fall, leading to serious injury or death. Ensure children do not hang on or destabilize the TV. Follow all safety precautions in the included Safety Flyer.
- WARNING: Never place a TV in an unstable location. Use cabinets, stands, or mounting methods recommended by Samsung. Ensure furniture can safely support the TV and that the TV does not overhang the edge. Educate children about the dangers of climbing. Route cords safely to prevent tripping.
Caring for the TV:
- To clean, unplug the power cord and wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use chemicals like wax, benzene, alcohol, thinners, insecticides, air fresheners, lubricants, or detergents, as they can damage the appearance or printing.
- Wipe the exterior and screen carefully with a soft cloth to prevent scratches.
- Do not spray water or liquid directly onto the TV.
Fabric Cleaning:
- Remove dirt or stains immediately.
- Use a vacuum cleaner or adhesive lint roller for dust and fingerprints. Avoid cleaning brushes that may damage the fabric.
- Periodically remove dust to prevent stains.
- Do not scratch dirt off with nails or tools.
- For oil or liquid stains, use a clean, damp white cloth. If the stain persists, use a cloth with water and a mild detergent (like dish soap). Avoid non-neutral detergents that may cause discoloration. Dry with a dry cloth or hairdryer. Do not use excessive force.

Note: Item colors and shapes may vary. Cables not included can be purchased separately. Check packing materials for hidden accessories.
Important: The screen can be damaged by direct pressure. Grip the edges of the screen when lifting the TV.

02 Initial Setup
When you turn on the TV for the first time, it starts the Initial Setup. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure basic settings for your viewing environment.
You can connect The Sero via the SmartThings app on your mobile device to control Portrait Mode and related functions.
Using the TV Controller
The TV Controller button on the rear panel turns the TV on. Pressing it again when the TV is on displays function menus. Refer to the figure for usage.
- Remove the protective film from the SAMSUNG logo. Blocking the sensor may decrease reception sensitivity.

How to turn on and off the Microphone:
You can turn the microphone on or off using the switch at the bottom of the TV. When the microphone is off, all voice and sound features using it are unavailable.
• The microphone switch position and shape may vary by model.
• Data from microphone analysis is not saved.
Internet security
Samsung implements security measures to protect Internet-compatible Smart TVs. Sensitive communications are encrypted, and unauthorized application installations are prevented. However, no Internet-connected device is completely secure. Take additional steps to safeguard your TV and network:
- Install software updates promptly when released by Samsung. Enable Auto Update in
Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update > Auto Update
. - Secure your wireless access point and network: use strong, unique passwords, implement WPA2 encryption, enable the firewall, and ensure all devices are behind the firewall.
- Use strong passwords for all Internet accounts (Netflix, Facebook, etc.).
- Do not accept unexpected messages requesting device linking or remote sessions.
- Avoid suspicious websites and programs. Install only authorized apps from Samsung Smart Hub.
- If your access point has a standby mode, use it to disconnect your home network from the Internet when not in use.
03 Troubleshooting and Maintenance
Troubleshooting

).
If troubleshooting tips don't help, visit www.samsung.com or contact a Samsung service center.
- TFT LED Panel: May have a few bright or dark pixels due to sophisticated technology, which does not impact performance.
- Software Updates: Keep your TV updated using "Update Now" or "Auto Update" (
Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update
). - Portrait Mode Apps: Some apps or external inputs may not support full-screen in Portrait Mode.
Common Issues:
The TV won’t turn on.
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into the TV and the wall outlet.
- Verify the wall outlet is working and the remote control sensor is lit.
- Press the TV Controller button to check if the issue is with the remote control.
The remote control does not work.
- Check if the remote control sensor blinks when a button is pressed.
- Charge the remote's battery via USB or expose the solar cell to light if it's a solar charging remote.
- Point the remote directly at the TV from 5-6 ft (1.5-1.8 m).
- If using a Samsung Smart Remote (Bluetooth), pair it by pressing and buttons together for 3 seconds.
Eco Sensor and screen brightness
The Eco Sensor automatically adjusts TV brightness based on room lighting to reduce power consumption. To disable, go to Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > Brightness Optimization
.
• The Eco Sensor is at the bottom of the TV. Do not block it, as this can decrease picture brightness.
Decreasing power consumption
The TV enters Standby mode when turned off, consuming minimal power. Unplug the power cord for longer periods of non-use to further reduce consumption.
