Product Overview
The APVTY16 harness is designed for use with Aerpro APVTY14C or APVTY12C reverse camera kits. It provides a reverse gear trigger for early model Toyota OE units that lack this functionality in their original 28-pin connector.
Installation Instructions
Step 1: Disconnect Original Harness
Disconnect the original 28-pin connector harness from the vehicle's head unit.

Step 2: Connect APVTY16 Harness
Replace the existing 28-pin connector with the APVTY16 connector.
Step 3: Reconnect Original Connector
Reconnect the original 26-pin connector to the APVTY16 patch wire connector.
Step 4: Extend and Connect Reverse Trigger Wire
Extend the loose wire labeled "Violet/White Trace" to the factory interior fuse box. Securely connect this wire to the factory's red wire with a white trace, which serves as the reverse output wire.
