Installation Instructions

Preparation:

  1. Remove the spare tire from the vehicle.
  2. Disassemble the right and left-hand rear lights and the bumper.
  3. Disassemble the rear cross beam. This cross beam is not needed for the tow bar installation but must be reassembled if the tow bar is later removed.

Assembly Steps:

  1. Place the Base Part 1 underneath the vehicle. Loosely attach it at point "a" using M12x1.5x40 bolts and 12.5x30x3 washers.
  2. Loosely attach Bracket 4 to Base Part 1 at point "b" using M10x35 bolts and 10.5x25x4 washers.
  3. Loosely attach Bracket 4 to the vehicle at points "c" or "d" using M12x1.5x40 bolts and 12.5x30x3 washers.
  4. Loosely attach Brackets 5 and 6 to Base Part 1 at point "e" using M10x40 bolts, 10.5x25x4 washers, and M10 nuts.
  5. Loosely attach Brackets 5 and 6 to the vehicle at point "f" using M10x1.25x30 bolts and 10.5x25x4 washers.
  6. Insert the Ball Bar 2 between the plates at point "g". Loosely attach it using M12x75 bolts, 12.5x30x3 washers, and M12 nuts.
  7. Simultaneously attach the Socket Holder 3 at this location.
  8. Align the tow bar assembly correctly.
  9. Tighten all bolts and nuts securely.

Bumper Modification

A section of the vehicle's rear bumper needs to be modified to accommodate the tow bar.

Procedure:

  1. Cut out the middle section of the underside of the bumper according to the provided template (Diagram X). The line Y0 on the template indicates the vehicle's center line.
  2. Reassemble the bumper onto the vehicle.
  3. Attach the modified bumper to the tow bar assembly at point "h" using M6x20 bolts, 6.5x24x2 washers, and M6 nuts.

Bumper Template Description (Diagram X): A diagram shows a cross-section of the bumper modification area with dimensions: 70 mm (length), 40 mm (depth), 35 mm (height), and a radius of R 20 for the corner.

Final Steps

  1. Reassemble the rear lights onto the vehicle.
  2. Fasten the spare tire securely.
