Important Notes & Warnings
- National guidelines concerning official approval of extensions must be observed.
- Any alteration or conversion of the tow bar is strictly prohibited and will result in the cancellation of the type approval.
- Before installation, remove any insulating compound or underseal from the vehicle's mating surfaces where the tow bar will be attached.
- The tow bar is designed for towing trailers equipped with ball couplings and for use with approved load-bearing implements. Any other use is prohibited.
- Vehicles equipped with Parking Distance Control (PDC) systems may experience malfunctions after tow bar installation if parts of the tow bar (ball bar, coupling ball) are within the sensors' detection area. In such cases, the detection area should be readjusted or the PDC system deactivated. Malfunctions are not expected with detachable or pivoted ball bars if the ball bar is removed from its operating position.
- Modifications are reserved.

Installation Instructions
Preparation:
- Remove the spare tire from the vehicle.
- Disassemble the right and left-hand rear lights and the bumper.
- Disassemble the rear cross beam. This cross beam is not needed for the tow bar installation but must be reassembled if the tow bar is later removed.
Assembly Steps:
- Place the Base Part 1 underneath the vehicle. Loosely attach it at point "a" using M12x1.5x40 bolts and 12.5x30x3 washers.
- Loosely attach Bracket 4 to Base Part 1 at point "b" using M10x35 bolts and 10.5x25x4 washers.
- Loosely attach Bracket 4 to the vehicle at points "c" or "d" using M12x1.5x40 bolts and 12.5x30x3 washers.
- Loosely attach Brackets 5 and 6 to Base Part 1 at point "e" using M10x40 bolts, 10.5x25x4 washers, and M10 nuts.
- Loosely attach Brackets 5 and 6 to the vehicle at point "f" using M10x1.25x30 bolts and 10.5x25x4 washers.
- Insert the Ball Bar 2 between the plates at point "g". Loosely attach it using M12x75 bolts, 12.5x30x3 washers, and M12 nuts.
- Simultaneously attach the Socket Holder 3 at this location.
- Align the tow bar assembly correctly.
- Tighten all bolts and nuts securely.
Bumper Modification
A section of the vehicle's rear bumper needs to be modified to accommodate the tow bar.
Procedure:
- Cut out the middle section of the underside of the bumper according to the provided template (Diagram X). The line Y0 on the template indicates the vehicle's center line.
- Reassemble the bumper onto the vehicle.
- Attach the modified bumper to the tow bar assembly at point "h" using M6x20 bolts, 6.5x24x2 washers, and M6 nuts.
Bumper Template Description (Diagram X): A diagram shows a cross-section of the bumper modification area with dimensions: 70 mm (length), 40 mm (depth), 35 mm (height), and a radius of R 20 for the corner.
Final Steps
- Reassemble the rear lights onto the vehicle.
- Fasten the spare tire securely.
