REHAU NEA SMART 2.0 R-Module 230 V
Quick Install Guide
⚠️ Safety Instructions and Product Conformity
Risk of electric shock! Danger to life!
Electrical installation must be performed by qualified personnel (electrician or electronics engineer) in accordance with applicable national and local regulations and energy supplier requirements.
- Always read the instructions carefully before starting installation.
- All installation work must be performed with the system de-energized (power disconnected).
- Disconnect any external voltages at the relay contacts and secure against unintended activation.
- Always check for the absence of voltage before proceeding.
REHAU AG + Co hereby declares that the radio equipment type Nea Smart 2.0 complies with Directive 2014/53/EU. The full text of the EU declaration of conformity is available at: www.rehau.com/neasmart2.

- R-Module 230 V: The central module for system expansion.
- Base 230 V: The main control unit, providing power and connectivity.
- Room Unit: Features a digital display (e.g., showing '20.5') for temperature and settings, and user interface.
- Various other modules and connectors for system integration.
Scope of Delivery
The package typically includes:
- 1x R-Module 230 V
- Base unit
- Room Unit
- Cables and connectors
- Mounting hardware
(Note: Exact contents may vary based on the specific system configuration.)
Installation
Wall Installation
Follow these steps for mounting the unit on a wall:
- Attach the unit to a wall bracket using screws (labeled 'a' and 'b'). Detail 'C' shows a clip mechanism.
- Connect the necessary cables to the terminal blocks on the rear of the unit.
- Insert the unit into its mounting position.
- Drill holes as indicated (represented by a drill icon) for secure mounting.
- Secure the unit using screws.
DIN Rail Installation
For installation on a standard DIN rail:
- Mount the DIN rail using screws.
- Clip the unit onto the DIN rail. Detail 'C' shows a locking mechanism.
- Secure the unit on the rail using a lever or clip.
- Connect the required cables to the unit's terminals.
Electrical Connections
The system involves connecting the R-Module 230 V to the Base 230 V unit and other components. Key connection points and functions are:
R-Module 230 V Terminals:
- ZOBUS1, ZOBUS2: System bus connections for communication with other modules and the Base unit.
- DI1: Digital Input 1.
- RZ9 - RZ12: Relay outputs (numbered 1 and 2 for each).
- RELAY1, RELAY2: Terminal designations for relay connections.
- L, N: Power connections (230 V AC).
Base 230 V Terminals (Refer to page 15 for detailed layout):
- 230 V AC L, N: Main power input.
- GND: Ground connection.
- IN 230V / OUT 230V: Power input/output terminals.
- RELAY 1-4: Relay outputs.
- RZ1 - RZ8: Relay outputs.
- DI 1, DI 2: Digital Inputs.
System Bus (ZOBUS)
The ZOBUS connection links the Room Unit to the Base unit, enabling communication and control.
