System Overview
The REHAU NEA SMART 2.0 system provides intelligent room control for heating and cooling systems. The Room Unit is a central component that communicates wirelessly or via bus with other system elements.
Scope of Delivery
- 1x REHAU NEA SMART 2.0 Room Unit
- 1x AAA Battery (for wireless version)
Installation
Mounting Considerations:
- Install the unit at a height of approximately 1.5 meters (5 feet) from the floor.
- Avoid mounting near heat sources (radiators, direct sunlight), drafts (windows, doors), or in areas with poor air circulation.
- Ensure the mounting location allows for easy access and visibility of the unit's display.
Connection Types:
- Bus Connection (ZOBUS): Connect the ZOBUS bus cable to the designated terminals on the unit.
- Wireless Connection: The unit can operate wirelessly.
- External Sensor: An external sensor (NTC) can be connected for more accurate temperature readings.
Assigning a Room Controller to a Room Zone
This process links the Room Unit to a specific heating/cooling zone.
For a single room zone:
- Press the OK button.
- Navigate using the '<' or '>' buttons to select the desired zone (RZ1, RZ2, RZ3).
- Press and hold the OK button for more than 3 seconds to confirm the assignment.
For multiple room zones:
- Press the OK button.
- Navigate using '<' or '>' buttons to select the first zone (RZ1). Press OK for less than 1 second.
- Navigate to the next zone (RZ2). Press OK for less than 1 second.
- Navigate to the next zone (RZ3). Press OK for less than 1 second.
- Press and hold the OK button for more than 3 seconds to save the assignments.
Deleting a Room Controller Assignment
- Press the OK button.
- Navigate using '<' or '>' buttons to select the zone to delete.
- Press and hold the OK button for more than 3 seconds to delete the assignment.
Setting up an External Sensor
This allows the Room Unit to use an external temperature or floor sensor.
- Access the installer menu by pressing and holding the OK button for more than 5 seconds.
- Navigate using '<' or '>' buttons to select the desired parameter (e.g., P01 for floor temperature, P03 for external room temperature).
- Press OK for less than 1 second to select the parameter.
- Navigate using '<' or '>' buttons to set the parameter value (e.g., select the type of sensor connected).
- Press and hold the OK button for more than 3 seconds to save the settings.
Parameter Descriptions for External Sensors:
- P0: Not connected - No external sensor is used.
- P01: Floor temperature probe for minimum and maximum value monitoring (minimum value for cooling, maximum for heating).
- P02: Floor temperature probe for minimum and maximum value monitoring (minimum value for cooling and heating, maximum for heating).
- P03: External room temperature probe (room temperature control solely based on this value).
- P04: External floor temperature probe (floor temperature control only).
- P05: External room temperature probe (room temperature control based on the average of external and internal sensors).
- P06: Dew point sensor (contact closes when no condensation is present).
- P07: Window contact (contact closes when the window is closed).
- P08: Temperature sensor for chilled surfaces or pipes (stops cooling when dew point temperature is reached).
