Safety First: Please read these operating instructions carefully before installation, operation, or maintenance. Protect yourself and others by following all safety instructions. Failure to do so may result in personal injury, property damage, or void the warranty.
General Safety Precautions:
- This appliance is intended exclusively for cooling living spaces in households.
- Do not use for continuous or precision operation, or for cooling electrical systems (e.g., server rooms).
- Ensure the device is not damaged upon unpacking. If in doubt, do not use and contact the service center or dealer.
- If the power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized service center.
- For repairs, always contact authorized customer service centers.
- Before connecting to the mains, verify that the current type and voltage match the appliance's rating plate.
- The electrical socket must be in good condition, suitable for the current load, and reliably earthed. Consult a qualified electrician if unsure.
- Avoid using extension cables, as they can overheat and cause fires.
- Do not adapt or modify the appliance. Use only manufacturer-recommended spare parts and accessories.
- Keep children away from the appliance and packaging. Small parts pose a choking hazard.
- Children under 8 and individuals with reduced physical, mental, or sensory capabilities should only use the appliance under supervision and with clear instructions.
- Do not operate the appliance unattended. Switch it off when leaving the room.
- Do not twist or kink the mains cable.

- Avoid use in very humid areas (e.g., damp cellars, near swimming pools, bathtubs, or showers). Ensure no water enters the appliance.
- Do not place near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
- Maintain a minimum distance of 50 cm from flammable substances or pressurized containers.
- Do not place heavy or hot objects on the appliance.
- Place the appliance on a stable and level surface.
- Never insert fingers, pens, or other objects into the appliance. Ensure air inlets and outlets are never blocked.
- Change the water regularly.
- Fill the water tank between the MIN and MAX marks.
- Do not move the appliance quickly when the water tank contains water to prevent leaks or splashing.
- In "COOL" mode, avoid prolonged use in closed, unventilated areas to prevent high humidity.
- Cooling batteries are not toys; keep them away from children and animals.
- Never attempt to open cooling batteries; the liquid inside can be harmful.
- Unplug and empty the water tank when not in use.
- Always switch off the appliance before unplugging the mains plug.
- Do not pull the mains cable to disconnect; pull the plug.
- Do not touch the plug with wet hands. Store the appliance vertically in a safe, dry place inaccessible to children when not in use. Do not cover with plastic packaging.
- Maintain and clean the appliance regularly. Contact the customer hotline/service center for maintenance questions.

The BE COOL cooler is supplied with:
- Air cooler

Description of the Device

Commissioning
Unpacking the Device
- Open the box and remove the appliance.
- Remove all packaging from the device.
- Unwind the power cable completely, taking care not to damage it.
Transport Rollers
The appliance is equipped with transport rollers for easy movement. Two castors have parking brakes for stability.
- Insert the transport castors into the notches on the underside of the appliance.
- To set the parking brakes: Press down to fix the brake, press up to release the brake.
Installation
Please observe the following during installation:
- Place the appliance on a level and firm surface for stability.
- Maintain a distance of at least 50 cm from walls or other objects.
- Ensure the air inlet and outlet are free of obstacles.
- Connect the appliance to an earthed socket.
Filling the Water Tank
Follow these steps when filling the water tank:
- Open the water refill flap on the side of the appliance.
- Fill the air cooler with clean water, observing the fill level on the front.
- MIN mark: Fill water above the MIN mark for the pump to function correctly.
- MAX mark: Avoid filling above the MAX mark to prevent water from entering the appliance and damaging electronic parts.
- Close the flap securely.
Cold Packs: Two cooling batteries are included. Place them in the water tank for enhanced cooling. Freeze them for 3-4 hours before use. Ensure the MAX mark is not exceeded when placing them in the tank.
ATTENTION! You can also fill the water tank with ice cubes. Do not fill above the "MAX" mark to prevent water leakage during operation.
Remote Control
Prepare Remote Control - Insert or Replace Batteries
- Initial Operation: Pull the plastic cover from the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Change Battery: Pull out the battery holder, remove the old battery, insert a new CR2025 battery (observing polarity markings +/-), and reinsert the holder.
NOTE: Remote control buttons are labeled as shown in the illustration. All functions work identically to manual operation.
Correct Use of the Remote Control
Point the remote control directly at the appliance's front, ensuring no obstacles are present. Handle with care, avoid direct sunlight and heat sources.
Description of the Remote Control
The remote control has buttons for:
- ON/OFF
- SET SPEED
- OSCILLATION
- TIMER
- MODI
- COOL
Set Functions
Functions can be set via the control panel or the remote control.
- ON/OFF: Press the ON/OFF button to switch the device on. The appliance starts at medium speed and switches to low speed after 3 seconds.
- Speed: Use the SPEED button to set fan speed (1x press = Low, 2x press = Medium, 3x press = High).
- Oscillation: Use the SWING button to activate/deactivate oscillation for horizontal air distribution.
- Timer: Use the TIMER button to set the appliance to switch off. Each press extends the operating time by one hour (1-8 hours). Indicators show the set time (e.g., 1H, 2H).
- Modes: Use the MODE button to select between Normal, Nature, and Sleep modes.
- COOL AIR: Use the COOL button to start this function. Ensure the water level is above MIN. The appliance humidifies the filter to produce cold, moist air.
Tips for Correct Use
- Protect the room from direct sunlight with curtains, blinds, or shutters to save energy.
- Ensure no heat sources are operating in the room.
- Do not use in very damp rooms or outdoors.
- Ensure the appliance is on a level floor with parking brakes engaged.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Cleaning the Dust Filter
- Switch off and unplug the appliance. Wait a few minutes.
- Remove the cover grille (1) and then the dust filter (2) from the back.
- Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust. If very dirty, wash in warm water (max 40°C) and rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the dust filter to dry completely before reinserting.
- Refit the cover grille.
NOTE: Never use the appliance without a filter.
Emptying the Water Tank
Empty the water tank every 2-3 weeks:
- Disconnect the mains plug. Place a drip tray under the water outlet.
- Remove the cover and allow water to drain. Tilt the cooler slightly (max 30°) if needed.
- Replace the cover securely once empty.
- Plug in the mains plug and restart the appliance.
Cleaning the Housing
- Switch off and unplug the appliance. Wait a few minutes.
- Clean the housing with a moderately damp cloth, then wipe dry.
- Never use petrol, alcohol, or solvents. Do not spray insecticides.
Activities Start/End of Season
- End of Season: Switch off, unplug, empty water tank, clean filter, pack and store in a cool, dry place.
- Start of Season: Check power cable and earthing. Follow installation and safety instructions carefully.
Troubleshooting

Warranty
BE COOL offers a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase, valid in Austria. This warranty covers free repair or replacement of the product at the company's discretion. If repair or replacement is not economically feasible, a credit note may be issued.
Contact for Service: For air conditioners, contact the customer hotline. For fans, contact your specialist dealer or BE COOL directly. Repairs not performed by authorized Austrian workshops will invalidate the guarantee.
Warranty Exclusions:
- Consequential damage due to improper use.
- Normal wear and tear of parts.
- Damage due to non-compliance with operating instructions.
- Commercial use of the device.
- Mechanical damage from external influences (falls, impacts, etc.) or aesthetic wear.
- Improper handling.
- Devices not opened by authorized service workshops.
- Damage from improperly closed condensation drain valves or incorrectly inserted water tanks.
- Unfulfilled consumer expectations.
- Damage from force majeure (water, lightning, overvoltage).
- Devices with altered, deleted, or removed type designation/serial number.
- Services outside authorized workshops, including transport costs.
Operating Errors/No Fault Found Fee: A fee of € 60,- (indexed) may apply for operating errors or if no fault is detected during a warranty claim.
Warranty Validity: The 2-year warranty is valid only upon presentation of proof of purchase (including dealer name/address and appliance details) and the corresponding warranty certificate with appliance type and serial number. Without the warranty certificate, only statutory warranty applies.
Statutory warranty rights are unaffected by this guarantee.
Schuss Home Electronic GmbH is liable for damages only in cases of gross negligence or intent. Liability for loss of profit, unrealized savings, consequential damages, and third-party claims is excluded. Damage to recorded data is also excluded.
