Getting to Know Your TV
What is Included?
The package typically includes the TV, TV stands, screws for TV stands, a power cord, a user manual, and a quick start guide. Please refer to the actual product for exact contents.
Front View - 24" / 32"
The front view shows the TV screen and the control button. The control button can be used to turn the TV on/off, display the input list, or power off the TV.
Features:
- LED: Indicates when the TV is turned on or in standby mode.
- IR Sensor: Receives signals from your remote.
Back View - 24"
The back of the 24" TV features various ports including USB, AV, DTV/TV, Headphone output, HDMI, and COAXIAL OUT.
Back View - 32"
The back of the 32" TV features ports such as Digital audio out, USB, DTV/TV, VGA, HDMI 1, HDMI 2 (ARC), HDMI 3, Component, and AV, Headphone output.
Remote Control
The remote control allows you to operate the TV. Key features include Power, Picture Mode, Sound Mode, Number Pad, Sub-channel, Mute, Volume Adjust, TV Setup Menu, SAP/MTS, INFO, Directional arrows, CH LIST, Playback controls, BACK, GUIDE, and TTS.
Remote Control Features:
- Power (1): Switches the TV between on and standby mode.
- Picture Mode (2): Changes picture settings like Standard, Soft, User, or Dynamic.
- Sound Mode (3): Adjusts sound settings like Standard, Music, Movie, Sports, or User.
- Number Pad (4): Selects programs.
- Sub-channel (5): Enters program sub-channels.
- Mute (6): Mutes and restores TV sound.
- Volume Adjust (7): Adjusts the volume.
- TV Setup Menu (8): Displays the on-screen menu.
- SAP/MTS (9): Switches between audio channels (Stereo, Mono, SAP).
- INFO (10): Displays current screen information.
- Directional Arrows (11): Navigates menus and adjusts settings.
- CH LIST (12): Displays the channel list.
- Playback (13): Controls media playback.
- BACK (14): Returns to the previous menu.
- GUIDE (15): Accesses the Electronic Program Guide.
- TTS (16): Adjusts Voice Guidance.
- MEDIA (17): Switches to Media input.
- ASPECT (18): Changes aspect ratio (Wide, Normal, Zoom, Cinema).
- Sleep (19): Sets the TV sleep timer.
- LAST CH (20): Returns to the previous channel.
- Channel Selection (21): Selects a channel.
- INPUT (22): Selects an input source (TV, AV, Component, HDMI, PC, Media).
- FREEZE (23): Freezes the picture.
- ENTER/OK (24): Confirms menu selections.
- EXIT (25): Exits the on-screen menu.
- CCD (26): Changes closed caption settings.
- FAV (27): Displays the favorite channel list.
- TV (28): Switches to TV input.
- AV (29): Switches to AV input.
- HDMI (30): Switches to HDMI input.
Installing the Stand
Place the TV screen-down on a soft surface. Use a Phillips screwdriver to attach the stands with the provided screws. Place the TV upright on a stable, level surface.
Wall Mounting
A separately purchased wall mount kit can be used. Ensure compatibility with the TV's mounting hole pattern (100mm x 100mm for 24", 200mm x 100mm for 32"). Use M4x5mm screws (not provided) and do not use screws longer than 5mm. Do not overtighten screws. Mount with two people and do not exceed a 15-degree tilt. Consult a professional for installation if needed.
Installing Remote Batteries
Remove the cover, insert two AAA batteries matching the + and – terminals, and replace the cover. Remove batteries if not in use for extended periods.
Connecting Devices
Cable/Satellite Box
HDMI: Connect an HDMI cable from the box to HDMI 1, 2, or 3 on the TV. Connect a coaxial cable to a coaxial wall jack.
Component: Connect component cables (red, blue, green) and audio cables (white, red) from the box to the TV's component and audio input jacks. Connect a coaxial cable to a coaxial wall jack.
Composite (AV): Connect an AV cable from the box to the TV's AV jacks. Connect a coaxial cable to a coaxial wall jack.
Coaxial: Connect a coaxial cable from the box to the TV's DTV/TV jack and a coaxial wall jack.
Antenna
Connect a coaxial cable from the antenna to the TV's DTV/TV jack. If switching between antenna and cable, adjust TV settings.
DVD/Blu-ray Player
HDMI: Connect an HDMI cable from the player to the TV's HDMI ports.
Component: Connect component and audio cables from the player to the TV's component and audio input jacks.
Composite (AV): Connect an AV cable from the player to the TV's AV jacks.
Game Console
HDMI: Connect an HDMI cable from the console to the TV's HDMI ports.
Composite/AV: Connect an AV cable from the console to the TV's AV jacks.
Laptop/Computer
HDMI: Connect an HDMI cable from the laptop/computer to the TV's HDMI ports. Adjust display properties as needed.
VGA: Connect a VGA cable from the laptop/computer to the TV's VGA port. Adjust display properties as needed.
Flash Drive
Connect a USB Type-A flash drive to the TV's USB port. Use the MEDIA button on the remote to access.
Headphones
Connect a 3.5 mm audio cable from the TV's headphone jack to your headphones.
Speakers
Digital Optical Cable: Connect the optical audio cable from your audio device to the TV's Digital Audio Out (OPTICAL) jack. Ensure Digital Audio Output is set to PCM/RAW in the Audio menu.
3.5 MM Audio Cable: Connect the 3.5 mm audio cable from the TV's headphone jack to your speakers.
3.5 MM to RCA Cable: Connect the 3.5 mm connector from the headphone jack to your speakers' audio input jacks.
Streaming Devices
Connect your streaming device to the TV's HDMI ports.
First Use
Plugging in the TV
Ensure all peripheral devices are connected. Plug the power cord into the TV and a power outlet. The TV enters standby mode (red indicator light). Press the power button to turn on the TV (red indicator turns off). To fully turn off, disconnect the power cord.
Setup Wizard
Use the remote's arrow buttons to select settings:
- Menu Language: Choose the desired display language (default is English).
- Air/Cable: Select antenna (Air) or cable/satellite box (Cable).
- Auto Scan: Search and store available channels.
Operating the TV
Turning On/Off
Press the power button on the TV or remote. The LED is red in standby (off) and off when turned on. To fully turn off, disconnect the power cord.
Selecting an Input
Press the INPUT button, then use the arrow buttons to select the desired input source and press OK.
Selecting Channels
Use the CH+/- buttons or the number pad (0-9) to select channels.
Adjusting the Volume
Use the VOL+/- buttons to adjust volume. Press MUTE to turn sound off and on again.
Viewing USB Multimedia
Connect a flash drive to the USB port. Press MEDIA or INPUT to select the MEDIA source. Use the arrow buttons to browse and OK to select photos or movies. Use playback controls (Play/Pause, Stop, Skip) as needed.
Customizing TV Settings
Navigate the settings menu using the MENU, arrow, and OK buttons.
Navigating the Settings Menu
Press MENU to open the menu. Use arrow buttons to select categories and settings. Press OK to change settings. Press EXIT to save and close.
Video/Picture Settings
Adjust Picture Mode, Contrast, Brightness, Color, Tint, Sharpness, Color Temperature, and Advanced Settings.
Audio/Sound Settings
Adjust Sound Mode, Treble, Bass, and Balance. Options include Digital Output (RAW or PCM) and Surround Sound.
Time Settings
Set Time Zone, Daylight Saving Time, and Time Format (24-hour or 12-hour).
Setup Settings
Configure Menu Language, OSD Timeout, Closed Caption (CC Mode, Analog cc, Digital cc, Option), System Lock, Parental Control, Input Block, US Rating, Canada Rating, RRT Setting, and Reset RRT.
HDMI CEC: Allows control of multiple HDMI devices. Auto Standby, Auto TV on, HDMI ARC, Device Control, and Device List are available options. Note: The included remote may not support this feature.
Voice Guidance: Turn on TV prompt sound.
Video Description: Enable video description.
Lock Settings
The Lock menu allows blocking of programs based on ratings. Set a four-digit password (default is 0000). Options include Keypad Lock, Parental Control (System Lock, Input Block, US Rating, Canada Rating, RRT Setting, Reset RRT).
Channels/Channel Settings
Configure Air/Cable settings and perform Auto Scan for channels. Set favorite channels, manage Channel List, Show/Hide channels, and set Channel Number or Label.
Searching for Channels
Access the Channels/Channel menu, select Air/Cable, and then Auto Scan to search for channels.
Setting Parental Controls
Learn about viewer ratings (MPAA and TV Parental Guideline systems) to block content. Ratings are based on children's ages.
Choosing Viewer Ratings
Tables are provided to determine acceptable ratings for general audiences and children. Blocking a higher rating automatically blocks lower ones.
Changing the Password
Access the Lock menu, select Change Password, and enter a new four-digit password twice.
Blocking Content
Enable System Lock. Select US or Canada ratings. Move the cursor to a grid cell and press OK to lock or unlock specific content.
Maintaining Your TV
Do not use the TV in extreme temperatures or direct sunlight. Ensure at least 2 inches (5 cm) of ventilation. Do not block openings. Do not place open flame sources on the TV. Dispose of batteries according to local laws.
Cleaning Your TV
Turn off and unplug the TV. Wipe the cabinet or screen with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use a wet cloth.

Troubleshooting
Dead. No LED lit: Ensure power cord is connected to a working outlet.
Blue screen only: Press INPUT to select the correct source. Adjust antenna position if using indoor antenna.
Noisy, snowy, ghosting picture: Check antenna connections. Ensure TV is not muted, volume is up, headphones are unplugged, and audio cables are correctly connected. Check surround sound settings.
No sound: Ensure TV is not muted, volume is up, headphones are unplugged, and audio cables are correctly connected. Ensure speakers are on and volume is up. Check surround sound settings.
No sound and picture: Ensure power cord is connected. Press POWER on the TV. Check picture contrast and brightness.
Red LED indicator lights: TV is in standby mode. Press Power button.
Normal picture but no sound: Check TV is not muted, volume is up, headphones are unplugged, and audio cables are connected.
Remote control does not work: Ensure no obstructions between TV and remote. Check battery polarity and install new batteries.
Power suddenly turns off: Check if sleep timer is set. Ensure power cord is fully connected.
Picture appears slowly after turning on: This is normal startup behavior. Contact service if picture doesn't appear after five minutes.
Poor color or picture: Adjust color settings. Try another channel. Check video cable connections.
Horizontal/Vertical bars or picture is shaking: Check for local interference (electrical appliances).
Poor reception on some channels: Tune to another station. Reorient antenna. Check for interference.
No output from one of the speakers: Adjust balance in menu options.
Picture is fuzzy or blacks out: Ensure cables are not loose. Ensure correct input source is selected.
Computer image in incorrect position: Use Setup menu's Auto-configure, clock, phase, or horizontal/vertical position adjustments. Adjust screen resolution. Reinstall PC video card.
Screen color is unstable or single color: Ensure video cables are correctly connected.
Onn LCD TV Limited Warranty to Original Consumer
This Product is warranted by Element TV Company, LP against defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of original purchase. Element will, at its discretion, supply new or rebuilt parts, repair the product, or replace it with a new or refurbished product. The customer is responsible for shipping costs.
Warranty Service: Contact Element customer service for problem determination and service procedures. Proof of purchase is required. Call (844) 334-2355.
Exclusions and Limitations: The warranty covers manufacturing defects for normal, non-commercial use. It does not cover damage from abuse, misuse, improper installation, alteration, accident, excess voltage, unauthorized repairs, cosmetic damage, acts of nature, or commercial use. The warranty is for the original consumer only.
