IMPORTANT NOTE

NETWORK CONFIGURATION
Follow these steps to connect your device to your wireless network:
- Log in with your account.
- Use "[+] Add Device" to add appliances.
Step 3: Connect your device to Wireless.
3.1 Select your AC type: In the app, choose the type of air conditioner you are connecting (e.g., Portable AC, Window AC, Dehumidifier).
3.2 Turn the air conditioner on, then wait for 5 seconds before continuing.
3.3 Press and hold the VENT ANGLE/SWING (on Portable AC) or [CONNECT] button (on Window AC) for 3-5 seconds. The unit will enter Access Point mode, and the display will show "AP".
3.4 Choose your setup method: For Android devices, you may scan the QR code on the air conditioner. For iOS devices, select "[Manual Setup]".
3.5 Connect to the network: Go to your phone's wireless network settings. Connect to the network named "net_ac_xxxx" (where 'x' is a number 0-9 or letter A-F) and use the password "12345678".
3.6 Start Configuration: Return to the Toshiba App, select your preferred 2.4 GHz wireless network, enter your password, and press "[Start Configuration]".
3.7 Monitor progress: The app will show the connection progress. If there is a failure, check your network settings and the unit, then try again.
3.8 Name your unit: Assign a name to your air conditioner (e.g., "Living Room AC").
- Upon completion, the app will display a success message.
- In case of unstable network connections, the product might appear "offline". Wait for it to appear on the device list or power cycle the air conditioner. After 30 seconds, turn it back on and wait a few minutes. If it remains offline, repeat the pairing process.
HOW TO USE THE APP
Log in and select your unit to control it from anywhere using your smartphone.
USING THE APP
The app interface provides control over your air conditioner. Key elements include:
- [←] BACK ARROW: Navigate back to the main screen.
- UNIT NAME: Displays the name of the unit currently being controlled.
- [Function] FUNCTION: Access features like timer and sleep curve.
- TEMPERATURE AND MODE DISPLAY: Shows the current temperature and mode setting of the air conditioner.
- INDOOR TEMPERATURE: Displays the current indoor temperature.
- [⏻] POWER: Turn the unit on or off.
- [Mode] MODE: Switch between modes such as AUTO, DRY, FAN, COOL, and HEAT.
- [Fan Speed] FAN SPEED: Adjust fan speeds (AUTO, LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH).
- [Sleep Curve] SLEEP CURVE: Activate or deactivate the SLEEP CURVE mode.
- [ECO Mode] ECO MODE: Turn Eco Mode on or off.
- [LED] LED: Turn the display on or off.
Additional functions may be available by tapping the up arrow.
The app displays various modes: Auto mode, Cool mode, Dry mode, Fan mode, and Unit OFF.
SPECIAL FUNCTIONS
This section covers Timer On, Timer Off, Sleep Curve, and Self Diagnosis ("Check" Function).
Timer On / Timer Off
Manually set the desired time for the air conditioner to turn on or off, and select the days the timer should apply.
Customized Sleep Curve
Customize your air conditioner's settings for each hour of sleep, allowing adjustments up to 8 hours.
Self Diagnosis - "Check" Function
Run a self-diagnosis to get a report on key items and their status.
AMAZON ALEXA CONNECTION INSTRUCTIONS
- Ensure your AC unit is connected to your Toshiba AC NA app.
- Download the Amazon Alexa app from the Google Play Store.
- Sign in or create your Amazon account.
- Follow the Amazon Alexa app's setup instructions.
- Select the side menu button [☰] in the top left-hand corner.
- Select the "Skills & Games" button.
- Tap the search icon [?] in the top right-hand corner.
- Search for "Toshiba AC NA Smart Home Skill" in the search bar.
- Select "Enable to Use".
- Enter your Toshiba AC NA credentials into the "Link Account" tab.
- Click the "Done" button [✔️] to begin searching for your AC.
- Click the "Discover Devices" button [DISCOVER DEVICES] at the bottom right-hand corner.
- On the "Setup" tab, select the AC you want to connect by clicking the "Choose Device" button.
- Under the "What device do you want to set up?" tab, choose the desired AC and click the "Set up Device" button.
- You can add the AC to a group if desired.
- Your AC can be found in the "Thermostats" section of the "Devices" tab.
- Under the "Devices" tab, click the plus icon [+] in the top right-hand corner.
- On the menu that pops up, click "Add Device".
- Scroll to the bottom of the "What type of device are you setting up?" menu and select "Other".
- On the "Setup" tab, click "Discover Devices" on the bottom of your screen.
COMMAND EXAMPLES FOR YOUR AMAZON ALEXA AC:
- "Alexa, turn on [given name of AC]."
- "Alexa, set [given name of AC] mode to cool."
- "Alexa, set [given name of AC] temperature to 70."
GOOGLE HOME CONNECTION INSTRUCTIONS
- Ensure your AC unit is connected to your Toshiba AC NA app.
- Download the Google Home app from the Google Play Store.
- Sign in or create your Google account.
- Under the "Home" tab, select "[+] Add".
- Under "Add to Home", select "Set up Device".
- Under "Works with Google", select "Have something already set up?".
- Select the search option [?] in the top right-hand corner and search for "Toshiba AC NA".
- Enter your credentials for the Toshiba AC NA app and authorize Google to access your device.
- Select the device you want to add.
- Choose the home and the specific room to add the device to.
- Once selected, you can close the home/room selection screens and connect it to your account.
COMMAND EXAMPLES FOR YOUR GOOGLE HOME AC:
- "Ok Google, turn on [given name of AC unit]."
- "Ok Google, change [given name of AC unit] mode to Auto."
- "Ok Google, change [given name of AC unit] temperature setting to 70 degrees."
- "Ok Google, set [given name of AC unit] to high."
Tip: Commands work for multiple units if you say "all air conditioners" instead of a specific unit name.
