About Toshiba Home AC Control
- Toshiba Home AC Control can control system operation by smartphone or tablet (mobile device) via internet connection.
- Everywhere control, software runs on Cloud system and mobile device can set and monitor system operation.
- Everyone can control, 1 Wireless interface maximum 5 Users (use 1 email register).
- Multi system control, 1 user can control 16 systems.
Note:
- Wireless interface can register only 1 email address; if registered with a new email, the current email will be invalid.
- 1 email address can be used for registering 5 mobile devices for control of the same system.
Installation for Wireless interface
1. Open cover of Wireless interface and make hole for wire out.
Make hole by tooling, ensure no sharp edge; beware of wire damage.
2. Fix on wall or partition following fixing position, connect wire between Wireless interface and Indoor unit.
Wiring: 2 core shielded cable – 0.5 mm² or more. Maximum cable length - 50 m.
Terminal blocks: Terminal block TB04, for remote controller or Wireless I/F adapter connection, to Indoor unit. Terminal block CN01 on Wireless interface.
3. Close cover of Wireless interface.
Note:
- Be sure there is no electrical power before installing this product.
- Wireless interface must not be installed in areas such as:
- Direct sunlight or areas exposed to outside air influences.
- Poor ventilation (near windows or other openings).
- External heat sources (above radiators etc.).
- Freezing or refrigerated areas.
- Do not install nearly devices that can produce electrical noise such as elevators, automatic doors, etc.
- Do not modify any electrical part, as it can cause malfunction, electric shock, or fire.
- Install area should be covered by Wi-Fi signal from the Router.
- Wireless interface is compatible with router 2.4GHz band IEEE802.11 b/g/n standard.
- Installation level should be 100 mm or more from the floor.
- Operating temperature should not exceed 55°C.
4. Controller installation requirements.
In Case: Single controller system
Wireless interface "Header"
Wiring: Terminal board for remote controller wiring (locally procured) 0.5 mm² to 2 mm².
How to install
- Set the DIP SW30 bit 4 ON for Wireless interface as "Header". (The default Wireless interface SW30 bit 4 setting is OFF, which is "Follower".)
SW30 Bit4 OFF: Wireless interface "Follower" (Factory default)
SW30 Bit4 ON: Wireless interface "Header"
In Case: Dual controller system, one unit is operated by multiple controllers.
(Wired remote controller and Wireless interface, the maximum of two controllers can be set)
How to install
For a dual controller system, install the controllers in the following way:
- Set one controller (Wired remote controller or Wireless interface) as the header controller. (The default Wired remote controller setting is "Header".)
- Set the DIP SW30 bit 4 ON/OFF for Wireless interface. (The default Wireless interface SW30 bit 4 setting is OFF, which is "Follower".)

When branching from the "Header controller"

NOTE:
- Terminals A and B have no polarity.
- Do not set two controllers to be the header.
User Registration and Login
Open an application and follow register for User registration.
- Tab Register.
- Enter email address.
- Select country.
- Enter user name.
- Enter password by 3-20 character combination of alphabet and number.
- Fill out customer information.
- Check for terms and condition.
- Confirm information. Information will submit to email, click link for confirm.
Log in to Toshiba Home AC Control application
- Connect Wireless interface to system and turn on power supply.
LED Status:
- Operation LED = On Green
- Wireless LED = On Orange
- Link LED = Off
- Power LED = On Green
- Open application and select Log in.
- Enter user name and password.
- Log in successful.
Note:
- In case of Wi-Fi router change or e-mail for register change, need to re-process for add Wireless interface again (need to press SETUP button 1 time for active Access Point mode).
- In case of change Wireless interface to use with other AC, need to factory reset (press and hold SETUP 5s) and re-process for add Wireless interface again.
Add Wireless interface for control by Toshiba Home AC Control application
1. Select "Add AC (Adapter)" from both displays.
2. Select AC (adapter) connection method.
Options include: Wireless Adapter Built-in, Wireless Adapter Type A, Wireless Adapter Type B, Wireless Adapter Type C.
3. AC (adapter) connect.
4. Connect with Home Wi-Fi Router.
Choose between WPS method or Manual input (SSID and Password).
5. A/C add finished.
LED Status:
- Operation LED = On Green
- Wireless LED = Off
- Link LED = Off
- Power LED = On Green
Toshiba Home AC Control application - Home screen
Menu options: Home, Settings, Toshiba AC special feature, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Wireless adapter manual, Help, Logout.
Main screen displays:
- All AC On/Off
- Group AC On/Off
- Each AC On/Off
AC details displayed: Group name, AC status (online/offline), current temperature, and set temperature.
Sub menu options:
- Sub menu all AC: Add Group, Delete Group, Operation Setting.
- Sub menu group: Select AC, Change Name, Operation Setting.
- Sub menu AC: Operation Setting, Change Name, Delete AC.
Other sections: Energy Monitoring, Service, Function, Message.
Mode and Condition setting
Operation mode selection:
- Enter operation mode of All AC.
- Enter operation mode of Group AC.
- Enter operation mode of each AC.
Modes available: Auto, Cool, Dry, Heat*, Fan only, Off. (*Heat mode is available for Heat Pump products only.)
Within each mode, users can adjust: Temperature set, Fan speed set, Louver configuration.
LED wireless adapter and AC ON/OFF control
Control AC ON/OFF status via the application. LED indicators show the status of the Wireless adapter and Power.
Group operation
Group limits: Maximum 3 groups, 1 group maximum = 10 units.
Add group
Create a new group by entering a group name.
Add AC in group
Select AC units to add to a group.
Delete AC in group
Remove AC units from a group. A factory reset may be required before deleting an AC from the mobile application.
Weekly schedule set
Set daily schedules for AC units.
- Day select: Monday - Sunday.
- Weekly schedule of all AC unit: View and manage schedules for all connected AC units.
- Weekly schedule set for each unit: Configure specific times and settings (On/Off, temperature, mode) for individual AC units.
- Time select: Set specific times for schedule activation.
- Mode select: Choose the operation mode for scheduled events.
Schedule status indicators: Weekly schedule not set, Weekly schedule set but not active, Weekly schedule set and active.
Energy monitoring
Select Room for Energy monitoring: Choose specific rooms or "All AC" to view energy consumption data.
Energy monitoring display: View energy consumption in kWh and cost in EUR, with options for Day, Week, Month, and Year views. Data can be displayed as Stack, Cluster, or Line graphs.
Set cost calculate and currency: Input the cost per kilowatt-hour and select the currency.
Export Data: Export energy consumption data via email.
Note: The power consumption displayed is an estimate and may differ from measurements by the power meter.
Google Assistant Integration
Link account setup and add devices (ACs)
- Click on "+" mark.
- Select "Set up device".
- Select "Works with Google".
- Search "Toshiba Home AC Control".
- Input Username and Password for Toshiba Home AC Control account.
- Link account finished. Choose device (e.g., Bedroom, Livingroom).
- Discover devices.
- Devices found.
- Devices list show for set up.
- Set up device.
- Choose GROUP for your device.
- Select continue.
- Set up finish.
- Check about devices list.
Google Assistant command examples:
- Power control (ON/OFF): "OK Google, turn on the [Bed room]."
- Mode setting: "OK Google, set the [Bed room] to Cool mode.", "OK Google, set the [Bed room] to Auto mode."
- Temperature setting: "OK Google, set the [Bed room] temperature to 22 degrees.", "OK Google, increase the [Bed room] temperature by 1 degrees."
- Fan speed setting: "OK Google, set the [Bed room] fan speed to High.", "OK Google, decrease the [Bed room] fan speed."
- Status inquiry: "OK Google, what is the [Bed room] set to ?"
Amazon Alexa Integration
Link account setup and add devices (ACs)
- Select "More".
- Select "Skills & Games".
- Search "Toshiba Home AC Control".
- Click "ENABLE TO USE".
- Input Username and Password for Toshiba Home AC Control account.
- Link account finished.
- Discover devices.
- Devices found.
- Devices list show for set up.
- Set up device.
- Choose GROUP for your device.
- Select continue.
- Set up finish.
- Check about devices list.
Amazon Alexa command examples:
- Power control (ON/OFF): "Alexa, turn on the [Bed room]."
- Mode setting: "Alexa, set the [Bed room] to Cool mode.", "Alexa, set the [Bed room] to Auto mode."
